Structural most likely. Appeared to have been outside for some time. If it were a scarab or Chris craft etc you’d expect to see it in the boneyard for 5000$ project hull.

yep wash and wear minus the wash |
Very nice Nova w/twin small blocks which I’m not sure I’ve seen.
I think all the twins I’ve seen have had in-line 6’s. Pretty boat w/a ton of potential and always liked them. Needs a transom. https://toledo.craigslist.org/boa/d/...414581814.html |

Yep.
That method of transom replacement is poo poo’d but I’ve done several and all were 100% stronger than OEM. No other option for many and many hulls not worth the $$ o do it from inside. If I didn’t already have a project, I’d go look at it. A 25’ Nova was on my watch list for a twin OB conversion. Would be killer 😉

Very clean looking Nova. My very first boat was a Nova 23 XL with a single small block. Absolutely loved that thing.
|
I put stringers in one and although they all seem to rot out (mine was the 3rd set for this boat), their complicated stringer design is a ***** to seal properly but absolutely bullet proof when healthy!

Rip the top off, I reckon you could make something out of the remaining hull, a nice day cruiser or a CC. (Probably with egg beaters on a bracket) RR |

If you liked the 30’ Chris Craft Stinger CC’s from 30 years ago as much as I do, please look away now…..
Still there? Youve been warned….. This is advertised on Fbook in Thailand for 1.5 million baht (about 46,000 USD) https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...275a29e63b.png https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...a93c3f273a.png https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...6c3437af87.png https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...8cb8e493f6.png https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...7e19891cbc.png https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...50e2e1e114.png https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...0ec46f60b2.png RR |
My wife would like it better than anything I currently have. She’s all about SHADE.
Nice looking water. |
|
It appears to be a very safe boat....life jackets galore....:lolhit:
|
47’ Fountain w/diesels and…..
|
Not sure I get it? I believe there were SSM 7s which were very similar to #6, right? Just a different drive shaft set up as I recall.

My bad then, never heard of them.
I thought the uppers on that boat look like 6’s while the cases look coned Bravos??? Never heard of Speedys w/through hub exhaust.

of course now that I say that I cant find a picture, but the 1 to 1 gearing is diesel for sure
|
There is an add for #7 drives in the classifieds. It's in the drives section, listing #32.

Wow.
Isnt that something. I would have lost that bet. The red flag for me was the gear case yet called a SSM??? We all learned something. I don’t feel so bad either after seeing all the other guys on here that missed it.
