Never seen one of these.
Always liked the west coast day cruiser style. Most are shallow vees though but this one may not be. May have stand up headroom at cabin entry. https://www.ebay.com/itm/31448443750...mis&media=COPY |

When we were in Fla, the guy that owned our favorite getaway hotel in Cocoa Beach had a restored 32’ Spectra.
Only saw it once. He got involved in the Offshore races there but never met him. He owned a way cool museum pc though!

Very Cool boat, with a little updating it would be Awesome, pontoon boat steering wheel would be the first to go .We had my brothers Baron in the 1979 Cobo hall show and that was the first time I saw a West Coast boat , 32 Spectra and a 19. Shallow vees but very cool and immaculate gel work .

Very cool!
Never got to meet him but saw the boat at the hotel on one of our many stays there. His sister used to work the front desk and would tell me about him. Loved that place! Bet we stayed there 10+ times when we lived in Sebastian/Vero. Was pet friendly so we could take the kids. Used to be a bar at the pool too. We’d take our mountain bikes and ride to the port and watch the ships leave and the **** show at the ramps when they were beside Grills.

That is JJ, this year he is racing a Phantom and his son will be in a class 7 boat, a Nitro from Europe (TFR racing). Matt did a write up on the team. Just got done with their helmets. He still has the Spectra. Always host the night before the race party at his club at the hotel, JT's social club. Good times.

This was at a run a few years ago, not JJ driving, its Bruce from Express engine. He is building the race boat motors, also does the ones in Predator. Forgive the haze, my camera had fog from going inside AC to outside, didn't clear up till we got to Caption Hyrams. https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...6c4df20ef.jpeg |
Yeah, we’ve been to the Port since the changes.
Try to get there whenever in Fla. Grills plastic draft beer cups said: ”Grills, home of the boat ramp follies!” Been to the hotel just a couple yrs back too. |
PS, I listen to the Clay and Buck show on I-heart and the station they carry is WMMB in Cocoa.
So their ad’s are local to the area. Not sure if that’s good or bad for a guy that misses Fla every day 😂 |

Why can't I delete these bogus links? And what happened to the option to delete a post?

Is that from today, or is it a previous post? The delete and edit options have a time limit. I think it’s a couple of days, after which, only admin can edit/delete posts.

How does he value the scrapyard school bus on an old work barge with a 40 yr old 85 HP Evinrude at $7,000? Then the old trailer at 10K? Reminds me of that duck boat that capsized and killed 17 people........if the school bus rolls, the roof would likely trap people inside. |

Post was from yesterday. The first link I put in something went wrong. I could edit the post but not remove the link. The link that says Original Link does take you to the ad. I can still edit the post except remove the bad link. And neither yesterday nor today is there any option to delete the post like there used to be (though that could have been removed years ago and I just haven't noticed it). Anyway, the Original Link takes you to the 353 Formula with a wakeboard tower. :picard1:
Boat looked clean but how much did a 496 powered 353 cost new 16 yrs ago? 159K now seems steep but after all it does have a custom tower....... |

Gotta love those Fla trailers!
Bunks hanging off the frame by 5’! I remember trying to get a new one quoted while down there and telling the guy I wanted the trailer frame to go to the transom and you’d have thought I was speaking another language……. Youre right, looks good! https://miami.craigslist.org/brw/boa...604994188.html |

Hate to be the fun police, but that thing is a lawsuit waiting to happen.
When I saw the barge boat I remembered 25+ yrs ago I had an employee that used to go out on a bus barge but it was full size and the owner of a roofing company used it for advertising. Intracoastal cruising only, but it was a full size bus on the barge. They would decorate it for the boat parade and fill it with people. Owner finally realized that while it was fun, it was a huge liability and he scrapped the bus, sold the barge. It was a school bus with 20-40 drunks on board at night in a crowded waterway..........what could go wrong! The captain of the bus was quite an animated character, kind of a cocaine cowboy type guy that was always scheming for quick money that rarely appeared. |

Another $30 or $40k and you’d have a true classic.

If it sells anywhere near the “starting bid” of $2,000, that’d be a fun project. Not quite a Cigarette, Squadron or Magnum but still, a nice looking ride.
