There are an awful lot of great members on this site and I consider my dues the best money spent on my boat!

Some updated photos for the NT repair. The only troubling thing about them is the blue something that comes through behind the gel. http://s1226.photobucket.com/user/nu...u.jpg.html?o=1

Terry has promised a new transom in a 47 Fountain prior to me dropping mine off so not a lot of work will be done in the next week or so. I will keep all updated on the repairs.

Maybe a call to NT wouldn't go astray, looking at the photos its deep enough in the laminate to look as if it's from the factory.

Divinycell H comes in a blue, but it's more of a robin egg blue, not bright like the pictures. Is that the core showing through?

That would be mine, but maybe I should call Terry.... When I dropped it off all I needed was the stringer around the center motor repaired.

Extremely classy....how the whole whole thread went. The way Nuke presented his story without blasting anyone and presenting it as a buyer beware. Matt for stepping up the way he did.

I bought a boat lift from who I thought was a neighbor at our marina on Norris lake this past fall for our tooner. Turned out the guy never owned the lift and ran off with my money. Felony theft warrant out for his arrest and I'm sure I'll be waiting for the next year or so to get my day in court. A lousy $3600. More of a hassle than anything else, but damn, I hate thieves and liars!

I buy and sell fine watches as a hobby. Make many $5k+ deals through phone calls and text messages. Have met the best people I know through boating and my watch connections. Sure, there's always a bad egg in the bunch, but I love it when things turn out like this. Nuke and Kilo, hats off to you both for handling this like civil gentlemen.

I'll keep an eye on your rig... I keep my boat just around around the corner from Terry's. I've seen the big beak hanging out the shop doors. From what I have heard, you're in good hands with Terry .

BTW, where you from?

That looks like some form of body filler, and kevlar, not cf. It's hard to say what's been done previously at this point, but sounds like this guy is pretty good so end result should be good. Some of those pics show the gel just peeling off :yikes:
