A 340 with trip 400’s is overkill. Buddy has a 390 with trip 400’s and that is a great pairing. I’d say go for it with trip 300 R’s.

trip 400 340, great running attitude, plenty fast. It’s a great package. Running outside from Cape Coral to North Captiva yesterday.

Very informative thread. Thanks for the info.
A 34 is going to be my next boat. Just not sure when yet. Had a pretty good real estate investment come up so we will see when.
But one of my slips is empty and that can't last toooo long

One question i do have-- the spec's say 10' beam on these. Has anyone ever measured it? Is that exactly 10'? My dock door opening is 10'1" lol. Probably going to have to widen it.

I haven't put a measuring tape on it, but suspect 10' is pretty much on. I put mine in a 12 wide slip at LOTO and it is tight pulling in by the time you figure the purlins are 2" wide on each side of the slip and another inch or so for the bumpers that cover the purlins. That makes the actual space between the bumper covered purlins on each side about 11.5 feet on a 12 foot slip.

Quick question for you guys with Mercury Racing 300R V8s on your Nortech. Pretty new engine setup, think mine is one of the first, but curious if you know the correct oil pressure range for the 300R at idle, planing/accelerating, and cruise?
