Doesn't sound like shortages will be a long-term issue with the hydroxychloroquine. Isreal is donating 6 million doses, Novartis is set to donate up to 130 million doses including 50 million doses from their existing stock. Same company says they are boosting capacity.

All drugs have possible side effects. That list seems mild compared to what you hear at the end of every drug commercial. Certainly better than a serious bout of pneumonia.

Now it appears your just being naive, Dumb person see's something on TV about a drug, does no research but "its on TV it has to be right". Dumb person calls doctor "I need a Scrip for X". Doctor provides Scrip because he/she doesn't want to loose patient. Drug supplies are reduced.
