True it`s light ..

The World Health Organization recommends safe and legal abortions be available to all women. Around 56 million abortions are performed each year in the world, with about 45% done unsafely.


I believe that number is women dying from having an abortion..

Word is that Camden County at LOTO just issued a new order that will only allow 10 people on a dock.
This includes restaurants and bar docks. Some places were serving people on their boats at the docks.
Kind of ridiculous since you could still be 50 or more feet from others, but I'm sure they are just trying to prevent docks from becoming big group party spots.

Just found the order.New order from Camden County through April 30th. I'm only highlighting the items that pertain to boating:

1️⃣ No dining or drinking allowed inside food or beverage establishments or their patios, lawns, or boat docks
2️⃣ Waterfront establishments must limit the number of people using their docks while ordering to 10 or less
3️⃣ Boats are to leave the dock area as soon as food/drink order is received
4️⃣ All public and private gatherings should be limited to 10 people and must maintain a 6-foot distance between participants

This new quideline above issued late yesterday.. A couple of thoughts though, yes local business' need your money, supplies are somewhat limited in the stores, s/a low paper products, NO dry cereal most places, gas is getting cheaper every week, plenty of beer in the stores, water is pretty murky, but not a lot of crap floating around (yet).. But, PLEASE PLEASE, make sure you are not infected or a carrier. Our local hospital is pretty good, but small. A massive break out here of COVID-19 would devastate the entire area. So far, 12 cases as of last night. Be save everyone and help those who are busting their ass on the front line..

One thing we do to break the routine, is grab the dog and a couple cocktails and take a ride. Go by friends houses and wave, call your older friends to give them a break too. The Lake is a very social community and a lot of generous people here. Servers, small business' and many are suffering from the loss of revenue that would normally start coming in the time of the season, especially with the milder weather we have had the last couple + weeks.

Since this thread has taken a bit of a turn I will share my experience. My girlfriend is a nurse in a hospital, actually two hospitals. She contracted the virus. I almost certainly contracted it from her. She is having a hard time and is undergoing treatment at home with Z-Pack for pneumonia. I am hanging in there with mild symptoms. She is confirmed. I get tested today but I certainly have it. We are both healthy and don't drink or smoke so outlook is good. Please don't take this situation lightly like we did at first. There are no doubt millions infected right now. I can't think of any activity more isolated than boating on the Great Lakes and am looking forward to burning lots of cheap gas this summer after we recover!

Thirdchildhood... I'm not what you would define as a religious person but thoughts and prayers that your and your GF's symptoms don't escalate to hospital care .....and a mention of gratitude for her working on the front line.

In the military, they would be handing her a purple heart....

Thanks guys. One of the hardest things is not being able to visit her much as long as she has the bad cough. I think we will be ok. I don't feel too bad and am getting the boat ready and doing other spring chores.

Our daughter is a nurse as well and has had a few direct patients with the virus ranging from ok to severe. She said now that she's directly dealt with it (patients), she feels less anxious about it after seeing the recovery. She has to self quarantine now for a couple weeks to confirm she is not infected, so far so good. I also work closely with our Emergency Operations Police and Fire. Both my daughter and emergency operations people explain this hydroxychloroquine coupled with a Z pack is the closest thing to a miracle they've seen. No BS, it works and is readily available (for now). I've been told numerous times from people in the know directly dealing with this, if you contract COVID, take those drugs asap. Rest up and get well.
