Office is now no smoking, once they open back up. They are only curb service right now. Their food is good. Same owner as DockKnockers. Different menu. Ruthie D's is being converted to Sergio's Mexican. They have been working on it pretty regularly for a few weeks now.

Damn didn’t know about Ruthie D’s. Always liked that place. Lake needs another Sergio’s like another hole in the head.

Ruthie d closed the same weekend blue heron did. They said they couldn’t get any help and were tired of working 80 hours a week to break even. We liked it to we are off Cherokee in Tim man cove

Not for long. With everything closed last weekend we drove down to the river below the dam on the plant road to check out the fishing. There is barely any water moving, so maybe there might be 1 turbine turning slowly. Spring rains will have it back up quickly. Hopefully without all rain from last year though that had crap floating in the water pretty much all season. Funny how everything being closed makes you discover things you never took time to go see. My parents took me to the lake for the first time in 1956 when I was 6. Yet this is the first time I've spent some time discovering things walking around below the dam.

lake will stay nasty for a while. Truman is still real full. The dam has been under heavy generation all year trying to pass thru the water from Truman.

Haha. Pretty sure they closed last fall because financially they were losing $. Most of the time the only crowd was in the bar for happy hour (4-6pm), and half price stuff on the menu. The dining area rarely had a crowd, so their main dinner dishes didn't get a lot of business. Pretty sure the working 80 hours a week wasn't an issue. They were only open from around 4pm until 9-10pm 5 days a week. Chris (bartender) is still doing real estate. When his brother, who was the chef there moved to Redheads a few years ago it seemed like that started their downfall.

My wife will be glad Sergios is there. I suspect they will close the one by Woods grocery, but who knows.

When we boated Easter Sunday water was murky because the lake is turning over the thermocline, but as far as crap floating like last year, we didn't see anything. All the flood gates are closed tight, and when they are open they can pass around 200,000 CFS just through the flood gates. Fishing boats were putting in and taking out via the ramp on the river just below the dam. There was almost no current floating them down stream once they left the trailer.

There's nothing wrong with civil discussion. In my opinion, our country could use a lot more of it.
Nothing wrong with civil discourse and did not accuse anyone of not being civil.. Standing by my opinion that there are better places to have a political discussion in these times, than in the middle of a thread titled LOTO Boating, in the middle of a forum titled Offshore Only. It's not offshore, and it's not LOTO boating. Nothing positive is coming from this clusterfckarama and I'm sorry if holding you to higher standard than the rest of us hacks was not appropriate. Will leave that up to you to decide if I am off base or not.
