rural and community hospitals becoming care homes for this population taking up ALOT of beds, and not just for days...for weeks and weeks!
becoming nursing homes
so what this does is bump up the level of care bed for those who are hospitalized with anything that would typically be in a reg med bed often to where?
higher level of care beds! Filling them up!

the home is still getting paid every dime from room to meals

typically, the entire facility is a quarantine zone as illustrated by the locking down for the last 10 months

My wife is a PT at a nursing home and they are setup the same way Griff.....they have one wing setup for Covid patients. Very rarely do they get sent to the hospital.

I would venture too guess that a very small number of hospitals are over capacity.................but of course those are the hospitals that the liberal media report on to promote their liberal agendas.

Re The shot.. that is your own politics and beliefs. I had the CV19 and will likely get the shot my opinion (and only my opinion) but I am at the btm of the list. My reasoning for the shot is that #1) I am a sh*tty, miserable patient when I am sick even with the sniffles and #2) downtime costs me income.

My fiancé and son went downstate for Xmas for approximately 4 hours with just close family and in laws. What had started out with my sister calling the Monday after that she had tested positive then shortly there after was my nephew and his wife and daughter. Then my dad at 80 yrs tested positive after showing cold like symptoms with the no taste or smell. Then by surprise I ended up with the junk not showing any symptoms until 13 days after Xmas day. My very first sign other than the sniffles was loss of taste and smell. And still don't but whatever. Other than that coughing up some junk but not congested. That's what's so weird when you can't taste or smell but you can breathe through your nose perfectly fine. I guess I'll see what the next strains may or may not bring. I hope the shot works out for everyone that gets it with no long term ill effects. Im personally amazed how quickly the vaccine arrived. Seriously!

One of my team that I've worked with forever spent over a month between the hospital and recovery. After coming home everything smelled like crap or rotting flesh for several weeks as he recovered and lost nearly 40 pounds. Hope your recovery goes better.
