Chuck is a stand up guy so is Fred I hope this gets resolved ASAP.
I do however question the wisdom of advancing money on such a product as a boat, but we are all big boys and live with our decisions here.

Maybe advance payment is how certain manufacturer operate but my deduction of this practice would be; If a company can't float production I would' nt be warm and fuzzy about them floating warranties... I might move on, even-tough the product is exceptional. Just my.02 on how I transact.

See my point!

Guys, lets just wait to hear it from the horses mouth. I'm sure it will all come out tomorrow.

This is the best point in this thread. Theres always a bandwagon on here. A great brand gets heat, people jump on. A legit buyer has a problem, he gets ripped. Bad form OSO brethren. Believe it or not, even your friends at Pantera are capable of missed deadlines.

I've been out for a couple of hours but I just want to say thanks for all of the positive as well as the negative replies. Although my friend has not posted himself I appreciate that Pantera28 took the time to call him himself and listen to his side. I am going to make sure that my other friend that also gave them a 60K deposit posts tommorow.

Hey Treadwell, send me 100,000 and I'll send you
something, "someday". Come on, You say just call
them and they will get it worked out. Do you seriously
think that the guy who has laid out 100k hasn't called
them 1000 times. As for advertising on OSO, what
has that got to do with anything. The guy still doesn't
have his boat! If Pantera is so up & up, send the guy
his money back until they can deliver. Like I said before,
These boat builders are on the hairy edge. How do you
know, the problem may be that thier suppliers have
cut them off. Maybe not, I hope not, but I would be
freakin out if it were me. Pantera is a small company,
look at Fountain, their much larger and you can hardly
get any parts from them.

I,m with you GLH, I'd be afraid of a company that
can't float production.

Man, I would have thought the full purchase price up front would have been enough, but you need to sweet talk them, too?
