Do you have a notch in the transom or is it flat?

The ASD6 drive tube is quite a bit longer and would make an overall better package, it would also make more props avaialble to us as we are limited to the 19 spline shaft with the short hub - we have to modify most props by shortening the hub to get the nut on!

Our boat is <3000kg pr <6,600 US LBs but as you can see it has steps, we also have poor acceleration with the big props we have but the steps really cut the drag by an incredible amount.

Kidturbo - couldn't agree more, if I had the budget for two speed boxes I would fit them although my setup is really reliable now we have it all dialled in!

There was a Hustler that did over 90mph with Yanmars over here and with the new 370's and Arneson's our boat would be quite a bit faster!

Nice to see a Diesel boat making believers down in Key West today...

2nd place SBI finish by a Diesel, that's a first.

Not exactly you're probably not old enough (Like me - LOL) to remember when diesel boats kicked butt in KW and AC and that was going back 24 years. The diesel boats have always been able to run fast and beat most of the gas boats in rough water over a long distance. I won't say "all" but more often than not the diesels won!

I think these Italian boys are serious about making a statement. Check out the video of their little common-rail power plants. Very Impressive setup, held her own well in the rough today.

The Key West field definitely put the "International" part back in SBI... Nice to see that.

Now somebody please loan our visiting teams a boat trailer and F650 tow rig..

They took what SeaTek did 22 years ago and put it under a modern engine. Low boost, high CFM - that same set-up will work well on any engine, only here do we think the key is higher and higher boost - Americans don't get it! European races get longer, Amercian races get shorter - tells you whose engineering is better doesn't it?

If you don't know who Jim Fueling was do yourself a favor and read about who he was and what he did. His work is what SeaTek copied and I should of much sooner when we had more money to spend!

Yeah tiny little things aren't they :cool-smiley-027:

Those are only the 780hp@2600 models. See where "Isotta Fraschini" also makes a larger 1300hp model, if ya have the room...

We have the "Little" Diesels - just 3 litres each with 260hp each.

My son and I have been running diesels and arnesons for over 20 years in a 42' x 10' 9" x 18,000 lb boat. It is not a speedster but will go 50+ and crusie all day at about 42 mph. I am sure we could add some mph if we took away some comfort features but we would never do that. After all these years we have the #'s on economy and repair costs. I spend more on my single OB CC repairs than I do on the diesels (which gets about 5 times the hours). It cost a bit more up front but if u gonna keep for a while you just cant beat diesels for reliability, economy, etc. etc.
