OK, If I go with the cut there ball off and use mine any one no of somebody that will weld the 2" back on the rental truck in the greater Tampa area? This or changing the coupler seam like the only options to me.
I would love to sell the boat and buy a bigger on in FL but I dont know anyone that will give me anywere near what is worth here in Seattle, and I know the replace meant would be atleast twice if not three imes the price and that does not fit int the finacs right now

My 23.5 ft boat trailer has a 2" coupler/ball, I know mine are all rated for 6000lbs. I say go for that unless your boat really is heaveir than that. If you have to remove all extra weight, ie: fuel, water, gear to get it down 500 lbs. Dont take any chances, too much can happen, plus I may have familiy driving on the roads next to you.
