Here's the scoop on the "Lip-Ship Edition" 39' Top-Gun Unlimited. She is Hull # 3
The boat ran 101 plus a few tenths, with Neill and Phil 1/2 tank of fuel and 92 degrees / 90%
humidity in Miami. The boat was tested by Powerboat at Sarasota speeds and test results are unknown. You're gonna have to buy the magazine for results! Phil loves the boat and very proud of it. The motors are Zul 700s single four barrel. And the best of all this boat is available!!

WOW ! both of those numbers are serious accomplishments. I wish PM would take the time to accurately weigh these rigs, that information would help guide what one's expectations should be for a given hull design. The info provided by the builders needs to be "confirmed" as the hull sits not as designed.

Now if Merc. would just build a drive that would live and not take 5 mph out of these boats :rolleyes:

The great thing is thats what it ran straight from the factory to the water, no dial in. After some tweaking it should be comfortably in the hundreds. :cool:

These sure are sharp looking boats !!! It's interesting to see how Outerlimits has really influenced the performance boat market .... in styling cues as well as speed/performance #'s.

Ya gotta include Nor-Tech in the styling department. That looks like a Nor-tech influenced dash. The back seat is pure Outerlimits.

Ron, you said NOTHING wrong ! Just another example of the Cigarette police on this board, THEY'RE ALL JUST FREAK'N BOATS so lighten up, jeeezz......Cig does not own the "new idea franchise" by any stretch :rolleyes: This boat incorporates some solid good ideas ( the stagger tops my list) and some bad ones ( the rear seat hand grips are just plain dangerous !) but the idea that everyone has to hold the name "Cigarette" in total reverence is silly, this also applies to Apache, Skater, Saber........Saber, what the hell is that ? :D :D

I like the separated bolsters and side steering. I bet Lipship's version outsells the factory 39.

Wow is right !!!! Much better without the love seat !!! They really have done a nice job "updating" the TopGun this way ! I love everything about that boat , ... except the Bravos !!! :(

Damn Phil! You guys added the step up door from the 42's and 46's like I have wanted forever. Now I can have stagger. The cabin looks much better like you said. Well, at least Oil prices are high, see you at the show! :drink:

Phil's rig makes much more sense, very nice. Man, Mercs just gotta do something about the drives, as these boats get bigger ( and faster) you can and will use'm in a chop, with that much power the Bravo's don't have a chance, damn shame cause it's a beautiful package.
