As I was saying, although I rarely ever post on OSO, I felt I had to put in my two cents regarding this issue.

After years of experience with centrifugal, root and screw type blowers, we have gained a good perspective of the differences between them.

The 305R Whipple is the best belt driven Supercharger we have ever tested. We observed low charge air temperature, very low parasitic drag, better idle qualities, and good fuel distribution in a throttle-body configuration.

We have had great success using the Whipple 2300 & 3300 blowers on the 500EFI & 525EFI's and would highly recommend them as an upgrade.

Sorry to see that Mark's post was deleted. He is one of the best Whipple and ECM guys you will find period.

I was at his shop a few weeks back and saw the above pictured motors with the 305r and they are AWESOME.

I could not believe how easy they could be turned by hand and the horsepower numbers were awesome.

I wish the powers to be would not delete the posts of the guys in the know that have so much to offer to this site.

Great job Whipple, Mark & crew.

Ok Dustin, do tell; what CI motor lost hp w/ 1071 @ 12psi?
Or did I just read that wrong? What were the two blower speeds (yours vs. 1071) @8.7 psi, and at the 12psi. Also, did Mark take any intake air temps for either.

The engine is 565 ci with very good cly heads it did not lose hp @ 12psi, it could not reach 12psi with the 1071. Would love to tell more. Too much drama here.
