Just talked to Bill,he said nice try.He did say he liked how you asked speedtalk forum for help picking the cam for the sb2.2 motor. You never did get an answer or pick the cam for that engine either.
Shaun,
This was about 4 or 5 years ago. I will pull the invoice for the lifters I shipped to Coughlans. Please send the link to the SB 2.2 I would like to read it.

No chit it was a while ago. Too bad you "forgot" that Bill was out of work for MONTHS with major surgery, right about the times you were trying to screw Tom over. Why don't you call Tom tomorrow, and see what he will buy from you.

That was also when he had many people over on SW believe his 'offshore boats need low end torque' bullchit.

Nothing like taking power away from 4000rpm and up to add it before planing rpms (ie: under 3000rpm)

==================================

I have many more engine disasters and or low performance not yet talked about here Straub.

Wanna keep this going by you keep bringing the thread current ? Or wanna just disappear and let the thread do the same ?

BTW: you're great relationship with Fenton really did wonders for me. You just gave me his direct # which I called and he told me to pound sand. I talkerd to you about that. After that bad machine work and his real poor responses, I swore to never deal with Canfield again. Which I didn't. Never suggested them again..neither.

Great relationship you must have had.

doug.
no worries I think I have Johns and my correspondence and since the heads have serial numbers we will have a production date on the heads. It should be real easy to give a time line on everything. Glad you brought up that bill had major surgery.

I'm so glad you have dates from heads that were sold years ago. Those heads are on motors an long gone I'm sure. Glad John saved paperwork. How long ago did he close up shop?

Time flys but I believe John auctioned off the tooling and stuff 2 years ago. Not a goodtime to sell a business but he was lucky as everything was paid for pretty much and they did own their bldg. John had planned ahead and got a a place in FL back in the 90's when this industry was rockin'. I had a customer buy the BBC boxes and another one buy the boxes for the SBF. I am pretty sure where the SB stuff ended up but won't comment.

As far as the engines Coughlan had them on and bill port I have no idea how long they have been gone from the shop but since you brought up bill was "recouping" then you must know a little something to be able to remember what, when, and how.

Also I have a great relationship with boys at Liberty Engine Parts, John Lucy in New England, and the boys at Racers. All are great guys and all supply great product to their customers in both branded and house brands.

It would be amazing if Bill ported those heads in his hospital or home bed.

Believe me, I remember everything about that time frame.

Liberty employes a good friend of mines son, Adam Christopher. His father was a mentor to me.

Ralph at Racers runs a top notch organization and I respect what the man has done up there.

Lucy I have met and consider a survivor in this day in age and they have done quite well.
