Maybe air pressure adjustment on trailer tires, up on one side and down on the other. Or a running start.
How much are those tilt trailers, like 100 K? |

Astroglide.......You can park a Cadillac in a dog house with that stuff. I think you are screwed....and not in the warm & squishy way either. Can you pull the 2x6's off of the side of the opening? There is 3" I would only do that if it is going to stay inside for a while. Then fill it in with wood putty when you go to fill the joint. :D |

It sounds like he made something like I'm thinking of that can rotate the boat up on it's side a bit. I would be very interested in learning more about this "Rotisserie" as you call it. Thank you, Don

We need to find the pictures of the rotisserie that 'glassdave' made. It's in the Fiberglass & Paint forum somewhere. I'll ask Dave if he can post it again if I can't find it in a minute.

Now we are talking...some excellent ideas flowing in along with the ship in the bottle, pointy end first, lubricant etc. (which I am enjoying also. But now I have a combination of things that I think might work. The 8' string and angle required with ramp, a little air out of the tires, removing some of the door structure temporarily, removing the rub rail along with a few other good ideas and I just may be able to pull it off, or in this case in. Keep the ideas coming, a plan is being formulated. Thanks

Take a string 8 feet long, see how far you must raise it to clear sides, if you have the headroom build a ramp for one side and carefully back in.

Thanks, no motor will be added after restoration work when I pull it out in the spring. Boat is in Maine, motor in NJ. I hope after a successful restoration to reunite the two in NJ in a much bigger shop[QUOTE=Sydwayz;4215673]Check this thread out:

Might I suggest the liberal use of high explosives to increase the door opening size? Not only practical, but fun too!!!

I do appreciate all the ideas and believe it or not I think, based on all you guys have shared, I now have a plan. It will incorporate most all of your suggestions...even the lubricant if needed. Any more ideas are certainly welcome. Thanks to all ... I enjoyed and appreciated every idea...some were very funny...good stuff.
