Yessah. That'd be my knucklehead move. Less than 10 psi with the plugs out then straight up to 65 psi with them back in once I figured it out. Thankfully it was quick...
I always drill the two front galley plugs to put more oil the chain, but it also makes sense that it's to bleed the air out quicker on an initial start. Probably not really necessary for either reason, but I do it anyway.

So I found these on amazon...Elgin ...the price was very reasonable to try. rated for 700 lbs spring pressure.. Does anyone know if these will fit a Gen IV stock valve cover and do they make a shorter poly lock..

I tried those once and the poly lock was way to tall for stock valve covers. Notice on the lock that it has a centering ring. Can’t just swap it for a shorter version. Spend the $$$ and get a good set that fits the first time.

Be careful, not all rockers will except each others poly locks.

Comp has a set for their rockers I believe. Call'm. :thumbs
