Pretty sure they are all 7075-T6. I can’t imagine making rockers from 6061, or even 2024. There’s only one other commercially available alloy that is stronger, 7068, and that is virtually unobtanium.
My question is purely academic. Morbid curiosity. The builder is going to prescribe, I am going to buy and he is going to build.
Thanks. Brad.

for one the marine ones are for a 1.55 diameter spring and the others are for 1.625 spring diameter so the profile of the rocker is different. between the other two one says can handle up to 950 lift and 950 lbs of spring and the other is 750 lbs so I assume the body is different in size and the other is finished different for long term durability?

We bought Ø1.525” springs, so we’d be good there, and I don’t think we’re anywhere near 750lbs of spring pressure at full open valve.
Still waiting to hear from the builder which rockers he’s gonna buy. Says he’s gonna get the 10mm-7/16” adapter studs, so we won’t have to worry about rocker height.
Thanks. Brad.

I would think that the marine ones being for the smaller springs is due to the shape of lots of marine valve covers. possible that the larger body ones interfere with slanted valve covers but that is just a guess. if you are running 1.5 springs then you should have plenty of room with out having to run thick cover gaskets or spacers.

Guys,

Coming together. Head Gaskets should arrive tomorrow. Then we’ll start moving forward again.
Thinking about aesthetics a bit….

Intake is gonna be the same pearl white. Leaving the block black. The coils should look pretty cool contrasting against the valve covers. Planning to have an engine cover laser cut out of aluminum that will be powder coated in the same Illusion Purple the rest of the trim on the boat is done in.

I know I need to make provisions for access to the oil fill tube. I’m having a friend laser cut them out of posterboard until I get it just right. Should look pretty badazz when it’s all together.
Thanks. Brad.
