DPF is a power decrease . It`s a restriction in the exhaust.

no
we strayed
methanol injection is actually a wonderful thing,
lowers emissions, boosts power by lowering intake and combustion chamber temps, on engines with DPFs it keeps then cleaner longer avoiding regeneration cycles that USE more fuel
all kinds of good stuff

it also was widely used in ww2 aircraft engines
its cheap ,
now back to boating

I didn't read through the replies but in the couple hundred I've done invest in a adjustable push rod. You have no control of the sweeping action. You are getting the cam with a lifter on the intake side and place the rocker on the stud and adjust the pushrod until the roller of the rocker is centered on the valve stem face perfectly. Measure your length. Do the same on exhaust. I take an old already compressed head gasket, use the same type, bolt the head in position and install outer valve springs only. Put machinist dye on valve face and roll engine over with the adjustable pushrod in it and then look at where contact points are. The danger is that if it rolls off the valve and depressed the retainer the keepers could fly out and you drop a valve. Buy the highest quality harness steel keepers you can find. I promise you that. I only Comps keepers.

What is the difference if the tread length is taken from that side of the stud to add contact length or pattern on the rocker side? We are only talking about a tread length or two. There are plenty of places to get spacers and washes to solve the stud height issues for a few dollars.
I would never use a washer under a rocker stud. The pushrod guide plates are hardened steel and studs should be 2 or 3 threads of filling the entire length of the stud threads. Something is not correct if you need a washer under a stud and at maximum seat pressure of the spring your stud will flex.

I lose 2/3 of a base thread engagement, but gain a full thread of polylock engagement. Sounds like a reasonable compromise. What says the brain trust?

Thanks. Brad.
Call Comp or the guys at Lsxcelsration and they have online cataloging the owner worked at comp many years. I had to run stud girdles on cams of .825 lift and and needed longer studs and comp had them. Bullet Cams near Memphis can find them on his shelf blindfold. I live near Memphis. The cam Capitol of the world.
