21 is a 2 lane rural highway with a speed limit of 80km/h. The part I was on was lightly trafficed. Southern Ontario highways are built in a hub and spoke pattern originating from Toronto, so you will have to take two lane roads if you are going to go up the Bruce Peninsula. I found them all to be lightly trafficked though.

MsP,
It is by far, one of the most amazing places to boat on earth. Mistakes there will cost you large. Granite always wins. ask Bob the builder :). Ya, right Sean. Drag me into this ! LOL This happened in the 30,000 Island area of Georgian Bay way back in 2002 with previous Predator. There may be 30,000 islands above the surface and as many or more luking just below the surface. I learned my lesson tho :angry-smiley-044: and have not touched a rock since. :D The area is just too nice to stay away from. 25 h - I enjoy following your boating adventures. Nice to see you include your families. All the best to you and your group.:D Bob |

Maybe an international OSO trip should be planned for next summer.:D[/QUOTE] That would be sooo cool. If you want to test the waters and see if there is support for it Donna, I will put together a group here that will host the event. I and others will be happy to lead the way. It really is the most beautiful boating in the world.:D Bob |

Where are the 1,000 islands?
Those waters are a close second to Georgian Bay. They differ in that Geo Bay is a larger body of water with lots a neat coves and inlets as well as the vast expanse of open water while the 1,000 Islands is in the river and feels more conjested with boat traffic. Very nice tho.:D Bob |
Sounds good Bob I would be in for it, just have to figure out the best place for Ian and I to start and if we should trailer or come by water. I am thinking possibly towing to Owen Sound area but open for suggestions. If anyone knows how far a tow that would be from Sarnia that would be great. Bob where would you start from? Now the trick is fitting it in between all the poker runs. Is the 1000 Island P Run always the same weekend.
On the map the St Lawrence really looks narrow, can't believe all those islands iare n there. Is that near your summer place. 25 H that is really great you are able to do all those trips with your family, you are making some great memories for the kids. By the way what's the english translation on your board name. |
