Thanks for the compliment.
Just got back from Catalina yesterday great conditions 1-3's with the occasional 4ft roller. Sunny mid 70's cool but warm at the same time.
Had my buddies and GF along for the run
Boat ran killer, mostly cruised with a couple of bursts to 85 or so.
Probably last run of the season.

Uncle Dave, I read somewhere you are originally from Chicago. I'm from Chicago but I've been in LA for 15 yrs. I love Havasu but the chain is awesome. The homes, bars and restaurants make for a better day on the lake IMHO. I've had many great days on Lake Michigan, but ive also been in a 55 footer and was scared to death. I was so happy the captain decided to take her in.
It seems to me that living in SoCal having a deep v like yours is a must. Havasu and trips to Catalina (not in a cat smaller than 40ft).
Again, awesome boat.

I had a house n Parker for about a decade and I think its a little more commerce frindly than havasu, but not like the chain.
My 20 and 21 footers served me well, but boat sizes have dramatically increased and seemingly so has the lake water size over the years. The water is just too big for a 21 anymore.
Add up I only live 5 miles or so from the launch ramp at del rey and I can go out anywhere now and It only made sense to go with a decent sized V. Its just a lot more flexible for me. I love my tunnel but the room IN the boat and the security in Big water trump absolute speed of a cat for me.
Having the ability to ocean run has added tremendous hours to my boating schedule between catalina and San Diego its now possible to start boating an hour after work and boat all weekend and avoid a 6 hour commute everytime I want to go splash around.
I've yet to be on a Western lake in any condition that felt threatening to this thing (michigan different story) but so far nothing havasu mead or powell has thrown at me in this seems to faze it.
Id love to hook up sometime!

Went out to Catalina a few weeks ago. Great day.
Weather was warm, Island was beautiful..
Lavey 2750 - Boat was comfy in 2-4's with an occasional 5, it's an awesome piece.
Electronics- Situational awareness provided by Furuno Nav Net 3d- "death star" like navigation and telemetry.
Motivation provided by Ilmor 710 - Impressed friends with "Vulgar" display of power.
Used 32 gallons I paid for gas, pretty cheap for so awesome a time.
I made buds buy all the drinks, shore boat, food, cart, and whatever else. Pretty fair deal.....
Have a great safe boating season everyone!

There was a 9-14 second period that day, so it was like running hills. The wind waves or confused stuff in between was only 2ft.
