My comment on the speed was against skaters etc, seems most say those are faster with the same power. Myself, I don't care I think the 36 is a great looking boat.

If I remmember right what Eddie told me , he built 1400`s for Cyclone, a Playboy bunny drove that to 174mph
164mph with 1200`s
36 NorTech Cyclone 164 w/ TMP1200's
The 36 Sponsons are the same as their 50'. Hence why she handles Lake Michigan and saturdays in LOTO like a champ.
Skater with 1075`s will go 156mph

The sponsons cut the slop real well.
I remember thinking a big heavy V is the best boat for big water, I was wrong.

I don`t like the pop up cleats that came on this boat.
I do like the larger newer style cleats and I`m slowly getting rid of all the stainless. (exhaust is getting powdercoated black )
Had a bezel 3D printed to make up for the old cleat footprint. since no such product exists and the newer style cleats dont cover the old footprint.
Final product will be annodized black.
I`ll be able to fit my large lines thru these cleats much easier.

The plate/bezel looks cool, but I think it would be better made to match the outline of the new cleat, perhaps just slightly bigger. I had some brake parts custom made out of titanium sheet for my racecar. I bought the cut sheet of titanium online, and he cut them out with a CNC machine. It wasn't what I'd consider expensive for such, just a few hundred dollars. Then you could anodize, PC, or even cerakote the titanium. Someone several years back built an Apache (? maybe ?) and had ALL of the accessorites blacked out with cerakote if I remember correctly. I was sold on the look when I saw it.
