[QUOTE=ICDEDPPL;4934791]Got some new props, did some running this weekend.
Had an oil leak at Thermofilter so didn`t open her up .. new parts ordered .

What props did you test, Dia x Pitch - Rake? From the look at the gauges RPM/MPH in video it would be around a 28 pitch with 10% slip.
That is a far cry from what was on the rig in the first place and the 33 pitch you were looking for. Asking as I am doing a whole new setup as well, Engines, Drives, X dimension on my Cat.

16.5x34x18

Slip is 27% when it`s not packing air at that speed.
drops to around 5% once she`s floating on air.

should be about 150mph at 6000rpm on paper.

Wow, that is a lot of slip to begine with then drop to 5%. Sounds like you are on the way to getting it dialed in. 150 is a great number for that boat.
Saw the 4 engine outboard (4 x 400s) converted 3600 here at Lanier for the poker run last weekend. Man it porposed a lot when it went by at about 70-80mph.

Did some trailer upgrades.
New plastic bunks, no more rotted wood or torn carpet
The custioned links give it a better, quieter ride. Very greasable.

What made you choose that brand? I've been looking at them for my 44' triple axle toy hauler. There are a few out there. Were they a PITFA to install?

I`ve always liked Dexter products... also it`s red so a no brainer
The first 2 took a bit.
Once I figured out that dissasembly is best with no jacks and assembly only needs a jack under the cross bar to bring the second spring closer it was easy after that.
Boat was off trailer of course.

Those links are cool.

What happened with the transmission issue you were having, did you end up changing the pump or not?

Those cushioned links are very interesting. I have never seen those before.
