Default Fukn a what do I do for steering

On my 24 resto the transoms gettin crowded real quick.
My k planes are right where my steering plates need to be.

Ive seen moded k plane brackets with the steering rams bolted to them, but that wont work for me. I also know mayfair makes a compact system but id like to make that my last resort $$.

I may buy the wing plate for that system & cut down my rams @ a machine shop.

Any ideas?
What is everybody else running?

Always an issue. I am assuming the tabs are in the same place. Now that you have Bravo vs. TRS the wingplate and drive difference is causing issues. You have probably 9" rams? Different rams might be best, but yes more $. Imco, Latham, and WPM make 8" which work well. I was always, told rams could go about 3" above parallel to miss a tab or object. I have seen more. Take a look at onesickpantera's steering and tabs...he has them way above parallel and hull mounts turned sideways to miss tabs. If you could get a wingplate made at a shop to mount to top of Bravo this would help. I have one, but for 2004 and older drive, you probably have XR. Don't think I'd cut rams...should be able to make work.

Thanks neil...... ;-)
Yes I filled all holes in.
I may just need a new wing plate that bolts above the top cap .
Ive got a mayfair 3 pc wing plate that mounts behind the back cap. That keeps the rams low so I can't get em above the planes like they were. If I did there would be way too much angle.

Yes tim, my rams have a wide stance like in fantastixvoyage pic except mine now intersect smack dab in the middle of the k plane backing plate. I need a tucked system like your pic, or a new wing plate, or rams, or a combo, or a kick in the mouth.....this projects aggravating !!!
