Sir seems you left out that they cut the structure in the front of the boat and put tanks up there no less then got in a non recoverable stuff in shallow water Powerplay was cleared in court BTW..

budd 08-27-2010 03:29 PM

I didnt mean for the question to sound derogative, Sorry. I knew they had done work to the boat, was it mr frank or mr k? what happened to it? The 33 is one of the greatest boats i have been in and would love to have one!

ludo 73 , I really want your buddies 38

dkwestern 09-01-2010 03:50 PM

WOW Ludo!!! couple questions.

Did the White/red CC go from triple to twin verado?

Did you use 2 of the 3 engines removed on your 25? (cowls look like yours)

The 38 with trip outboards got sold from PMT and rerigged with trip 300xs. Who rigged? This boat has had 4 different sets of engines on it. 250XS, 275 Verado, 300 Verado, 300XS. Crazy, what does it run with 300xs?

ludo73 09-01-2010 04:11 PM

well, first, yes, the 33CC go from triple to twin

no, he had regular promax, i had 300X( just moved to 300xs)

rigged by mercury martinique, don't know top end speed i don't remember if it's 72 mph or 72 knots

ludo73 09-01-2010 05:06 PM

@ baja27: I don't know if he is ready to sold, because he just bought it, but send a mail to him, he could help you to find a powerplay 38 => [email protected]

Here is a couple pics of my 28 in NJ water. I can't believe how well it handles.

POWERPLAY J 09-07-2010 11:08 PM

Just read back thru this thread after a hiatus. Very nice to see all the posts and info from everyone, thanks. I have a 33 ss and run it as hard as I can in the roughest water I can find. I've been in quite a few boats similiar in size and hands down this is the best handling and safest boat I've been in! Better than a 32 AT and way better than a 32 Sun, 35 Fountain etc... Thanks again Dan for building this for me. Once I get some down time I'll figure out photobucket and post pics:drink:

Ditto (well....my 28 looks nearly identical so I figure I'll ditto the pics since I can't post ...).:drink:

The only thing I'd like to improve on mine is about 4'6" to have Jay's boat(or similarly nice/fast 33!)->

Cash Bar 09-08-2010 09:32 PM

Is this the old "Low Profile" ?

I think it is if I remember correctly.

Could be looks like it ,But I need to see the dash face and the "Hotbox" to know for sure.

302Sport 09-12-2010 02:07 PM

steve, what would it do if I mounted my tabs horizontal on the boat like you see on some race boats, instead of at the angle of the hull like they are now??? has it been tried on other PP's???????

Steve 1 09-12-2010 03:56 PM

What kind of tabs, long narrow or a standard width?

302Sport 09-12-2010 07:09 PM

standard width, but they could be long or short because changing the plates isnt hard. ive seen a lot of fountains with them mounted like that and wondered what would happen on a PP??

Steve 1 09-12-2010 07:29 PM

A long narrow tab coming off near a horizontal surface like the chine area may work as you have a wide chine, I do not remember any setup with the plates horizontal.

302Sport 09-12-2010 07:37 PM

ive never seen it on a PP either but many of the newer boats run them horizontal.

That is the first triple 33 center console I think I have ever seen.
Were they from the factory that way or was that a retrofit?
What is the performance difference between a similar powered triple vs twin?

POWERPLAY J 09-14-2010 10:49 PM

Hey Steve, Could you or Dan help me out? I have a 95 33 SS with no notch, 600hp and Bravo's. What is the proper X dimention? Do you have #'s on toe in/ toe out? I really want to dial this in...

I don't know top end speed with triple outboards, i would say 70mph, it runs 52 KNOTS with twin verado

Steve 1 09-15-2010 02:16 PM

Tim Sharkey Beautiful pictures.

ActiveFun 09-15-2010 02:58 PM
