oil capasity is about 27liter, 2-3liter doesn't come out in oil change. I have 208liter drum of SAE40, it's pretty cheap. 30w-50 or 30w-60 oil could be best for this but they doesn't exist.

25W60 should be close enough

When single vs twins are factored in, the 27L isn't as big if a deal. But getting agressive fuel dilution gets pretty old very quickly.

Are you washing down the cylinders from overfueling?

Bypass filters: my theory is they are best used to polish the oil. The idea that the oil is maintained clean.

Particualte filtration has specs for % filtered on 1st, 2nd pass etc.

The intent would be to have very clean oil, and not pass a large particle for an engine failre or issue etc. from a pressure relief bypass.

Main oil feed has a simple filtration to spec, (21 micron in this case) then feeds the system.

The WiX racing oil filter a lot of guys use on the their perf marine engines are 61 micron. Way to large for me. Better to have multpiple filters in parrallel, with a finer filtration.

Back in another life I found moisture in my oil was causing my filters to stop flowing. Seems that the filter media was the problem. In my case source of the moisture was the headers.

I agree that. Two BIG 21micron filter parallel are good for transmash, I really like 5micron filter to clean oil and giving very good oil for turbos and injection pump but engine will work well just with two 21micron filters.

I have found diesel leak in oil place!

First I bought simple pressure tester, this can pump vacuum or 3bar overpressure.

Next I pressure tested injector return lines and find out that left bank line didn't hold any pressure, right bank keep 2bars.

injector lines was pretty loose too. pump side was tight but injector side was loose, wierd because I tightened them pretty tight in last air bleed, Injector line pressed cone have to change shape so thread piece get loose.

You're like a scientist! Unreal level of engineering and expertise. I can't wait to see the video of the boat running strong!

Default Congratulations!

Congratulations!

Always exciting to find a bug.

Let’s hope that is the only one.
