We’ve been using the boat pretty regular. Ran it at Guntersville last weekend. Didn’t take hardly any photos from that trip. We ate at a dockside restaurant and came out after we were done to idle back to the ramp after dark. Pretty cool seeing the boat lit up at night. There were two guys there that helped us untie who said they’ve been keeping up with the build online. Thanks guys! Appreciate the help.

Still working on upholstery as I have time. Here’s a few photos from the last few weeks. I’ll show more as we get the kinks worked out.

I don’t think I’ve posted these 2 videos here. They’re from the last few weeks. The one without the engine hatch is when we were trying the 18x32 4 blades that vibrated. They also shoot a nice roost. I’ll try to take video of more interesting stuff than just the roost over and over..

Heath,
Betcha can't wait until you hit some bigger water. The diff between your 30' and your 38' is like night and day.
You were worried that the driver bolster didn't line up with the steering wheel - I bet you don't even notice it, do you?
Glad to see you're finally enjoying the fruits of your labor. Is the 30' Scarab 2 gone?
Waiting patiently for a new Bahama video.

Yes we're looking forward to the miami trip in september. Not planning to run to Bimini then but who knows. I still have the 30 footer. I really need it out of the way if you know somebody who wants it. Also the 38 donor boat needs to go. No trailer with it.

Still trying to get everything perfected on dead ringer. Left side has an electric gremlin. Working on that now.

Left engine acted up the last time we had it out on the 4th of July. Hard to start, low on power. Sounded like it had a dead cylinder. Finally got around to a compression check. Left motor # 3 cylinder had 80 psi. #4 had 0! Put the scope in there, #4 had a hole in the exhaust valve, #3 had tuliped.

As I was taking it apart I noticed the MAP sensor hose had come off the manifold. Causing the ignition to be too advanced. Hindsight being 20/20, shoulda put a hose clamp on it. It was a tight fit on a barbed fitting I never thought would have backed off. Oh well, sending heads off Monday to be reworked. We’ll be back on the water soon.
