I just finished putting the last coat of epoxy in the bilge. I was really wanting to do black, but my plan unexpectedly changed. I ordered Total Boats bilge paint, with the understanding that I could tint the grey to black. If you have had that thought as well I’ll tell you that it is absolutely not possible. I want to be clear that their product is amazing and I’m not knocking it in any way, they were great to deal with. This pic shows the darkest it will go, it’s almost to the point of separation. Anyways I think I’m ok with the dark grey. I’ll start rigging next week I need to get a bunch of parts finished and make a couple decisions on how I want to deal with the rot I found. The Upulstry shop is almost 6 weeks out so I’ll probably tackle that myself just to get on the water for the season. I am looking for good info on bottom blueprinting if anyone knows of any good articles. I put a straight edge on the bottom and I have the opposite of hook? I need to fill up to 5/8” in a couple spots. I believe that’s the reason I have to keep on the planes so hard to keep the bow down

Been rigging the last few nights, should be dropping the motors back in this weekend. Also started on the interior panels, got them drawn up and burned out I have quite a few hours of bead rolling and riveting before they’re ready. Nothing exciting but here’s a couple progress pics.

Maybe some termite damage?

Lots of rot

This will give you an idea of what I’m doing with the panels. All the inserts will carry the diamond pattern and be attached with aircraft rivets. The new panels weigh about 1/4 as much as the originals. So far I’ve shaved around 300lbs off the boat, mostly from ditching the closed cooling

Got everything thrown back in, I still need to run cables, hoses, wiring, etc. found a couple cables that look questionable so I’ll get those ordered, I’m digging the colors now that it’s together, I still have some clean up to do everything got destroyed from a dust storm. The drives look ok’ish I didn’t put a lot of time or energy into them, this will more than likely be their last season. I think I’ve decided I want to put Konrad’s on it.

This is the paint scheme I’m going with, gotta love the legends
