Water Pressure Switch

Anyone know of a water pressure switch I can put on the incoming water supply to an engine after the Sea Waterpump. I want to connect it to an alarm when pressure is lost before it could overheat...

I started with warm engines but this one wouldn't budge.

I used that exact belt wrench to squeeze the oil out of it...Crushed it to about half its size. It would have worked if I had more space...

Go Gators! $2 screwdriver is right...I spent ~ $100 on every conceivable oil filter wrench @ NAPA, several worthless wonder tools, pipe wrenches from Home Depot, not to mention I ruined my Old...

Any ideas on removing a stuck oil filter in the bilge. I have access on the side for about 30 deg and from the bottom about 45 deg. Can pretty much only get 1 hand in there from both places.

It is an ECHLIN Part Number...ECH OP6611. Got electric fuel pumps from Jerrys. The pumps had a wireing diagram including this part as the safety shutoff switch. If your in Tampa, the DC had them...

I had a 19 Mako and loved it. It was a great bay / flats boat but not a dry running boat. That might not work well up north. Mine had a 150 Merc, a 175 on that has got to be WAY under powered...

Looks like the rough idle was a bad/weak coil...Replaced it and it has run fine since Friday. The power issue looks like the harness. Checked all wiring on the engine, started it and it quit idling...

Thanks for the input. I will check the harness and all the connections today. I did not know if a Mercruiser would run off the alternator or die if the battery was disconnected. With the gages...

Just took my 10 month 2 engine project out for a water test yesterday. Starboard is fine but the Port seems to have an ignition / electrical problem.

You may want to try running the boat on the trailer and tilted to the angle it is in the water. If it was knocking all the time in the water and not on the trailer, could be something lose swinging...

You were messing around the engines when replacing the manifolds. Make sure the steering didn't work itself loose.

I actually like the OSCO gasket better than the MC. The same thing happened to mine...MC riser gasket installed by the book leaked and took out exhaust #1. The OSCO gasket I'm using...

Sorry to hear about the problems. Mine are aluminum look to be in better shape than yours were in. I did not think to check the size because they do look the same...Will put a ruler...
