Your local welding shop should have some good size cable, its used for the ground strap. Just make sure the strand count is high

So I found metal in the oil as I was searching for a growl noise. I assume that the upper gear set is done, because its worse in reverse.

Agreed, 1/0 wire is available from a welding supply stores as a ground strap. It works great for power and ground on longer runs
