verify its not your louvers on the exterior of the boat where it draws fresh air into the engine comp...mine rattled once i added subs...i just had to dab some clear silicon under them and it stopped.

you may want to verify that the plug connection on the trim pump is also nice and tight. mine had something like a round 4-5 prong plug that if bumped while in the engine compartment it would appear...
