Does anyone have the approximate weight of a fully dressed Merc 5.7 liter V8, with the stock cast exhaust manifolds?

I bought a pair and need the weight for the shipping quote...

Engines have been located!

A fellow OSO member had two merc SBC's for a great price..very reliable, solid,.. 40-50 hrs on the engines. Couldn't pass it up!!!

I have outdrives already,..merc makes it sound like if you buy just the engine package it comes with the bravo one transom assy..

This info was cut and pasted from the quicksilver/reman web...

I am looking for some info on this package. The merc add says it comes with a Bravo Transom Assy,....what exactly is included? Is it the comple gimbal assy and rams....or?

I was told that it Was Arnolds Boat From Arnolds Yacht Basin in NJ. It was run for two years, then the power and drives removed, and covered and stored for 20 some years.

I like to use Purple Power for the initial clean-up. It's made by Castrol. I would then sand with 220 grit to remove ALL of the gloss prior prime. As for the paint....Maybe GlassDave will chime in...

Merc use's good stuff. I have built 2 sets of 383's putting out no less then 485 hp,...on pump gas. Use the best heads u can afford...be sure and have good comunication when buying and or having...
