Wow it musta been rough to do that. There are two check valves in the vent lines close to the hull fitting that should prevent water from entering. Does your boat have them ?

Tow Command

Best thing since sliced bread. Ford tow command links your trailer to the truck like air brakes ! One brake pedal one pressure. I set mine on 4.5 for my 382 and it is perfect !

I think the tank is plumbed before the top deck...

I think the tank is plumbed before the top deck is installed. The side panel that the fire extinguisher is mounted on comes out with 3 screws. This gives you all kinds of room to shorten these hoses....
