Ok I removed a head to get pressure checked . No problems. Reinstalled, timed engine at 28 degrees , idles like crazy. Tripple checked distributor . dead on the money.idle screws backed all the way...

Boat idles at 1200 rpms. But I understand big blowers 1671 ,s dont have reversion problems..

incorrect timing cause water reversion

Just put distributor back in . 30 minutes running time and realized timing light was faulty. New light corrected timing,timing was off about 15 degrees. Can this cause water reversion ?

Pulling the blower off tomorrow and removing head. Going to try to remove head with out removing the motor if possible. Aluminum heads , more than likely leaking around valve guide. .
