If I remember correctly the Raylar cam is a litle more aggressive than the Merc HO cam. I think the Whipple recal Stage 2 will get you a little more but Whipple says 92 octane.

oil smell

After running my 496HO at WOT for a few min, I could smell a hint of oil when I backed off. No leaks noted Engine runs good... Never had that smell before. A little blow by starting?!?!

Is there anyone running Raylars 203 cam and Whipples stage 2 ecu? Its supposed to be a little more cam than the HO cam. I had a 375mag and wanted HO type power. Not enough cash to get the full kit...

Use aircraft paint stripper and you'll need to use a wire wheel over the welds. You can buy a metal polish kit at Lowes. I did mine after Ray set me up with his 203 cam and ecu change and turbulators...
