I didn't want to simply block off the fuel pump mount because the lube was coming out the seals and being thrown all over the engine bay.I wanted to be rid of the whole misconceived idea.

It's strange that the engine builder would send it out the door if the a/f ratio wasn't right. I will be sure to read the plugs when I get in the water.

I wish I had a better understanding of the dyno info. What would you like to see for a/f ratio? I just bought the boat last fall.

I totally agree with "too stroked". My point was that big blocks and Alpha's can work in some cases, providing you "handle with care". Certainly not the best combination for a heavy boat.
