CLR in a spray bottle, I think its a chemical reaction that makes it work, so spray on agitate and repeat until its clean...it will take a few times with that process,

all I can say is go and play with them all. I have Simrad on one boat and Raymarine on the other.... they are night and day different on how they operate.... (think iphone and android) the Raymarine...

made the Amsoil switch 2 years ago now in both boats(xr's and b3's) and zero problems... no issues shifting or gear wear when i tore the xr's down this winter to replace the output shaft seals.

and still is a local boat... :) .... ended up with 28P 15 1/4 maximus props, went back in a couple times to get right to the limit....30P that were thinned out were faster but there was a noticeable...
