Whos ready for summer??!!!

Well.......I'm not skeered to try. I didn't have to pull the drive, just removed the back cap. I need to buy an alignment tool, before I start pulling drives.

I haven't boughten the motors yet........just bought a house. The IRS is going to pay for them:D.

Got my Awlgrip DVD guide yesterday. I'm hoping to start on the bilge this weekend and get those old 454's out of the shop.

Andy, Im really looking foward to you getting your boat together and knowing what you have.

The paint will be worthwhile.

TexomaPowerboater 01-11-2009 02:21 PM

I won't have any money left after these engines to venture outside of Texoma. I wanted to go to Tickfaw last year until I found out how shallow it is. Looks like a lot of fun. I like the idea of going to a bar in the middle of the swamp inaccessible by car.

It's not the sahllow that gets you. It's those random stumps sticking up just under the water.

How ya'll doing?

Vyper - you get some work done on the Apache? Houseboat?

Collin - did you get the firefox back yet? How is your cousin's search going? You looking at buying a 20ft cig too?

I'm selling my old 454 blocks. It's the old 454 365hp mark IV. One is still running and I still need to take it apart. The other is disasembled and cleaned up to look at. Droped a valve in the one, but it's rebuildable. Looking for $1,900 OBO for both. I'm switching over all the accessories that will work on the 502's, but everything else can go.

Yea Andy, Hows the houseboat search coming? Find any gems up there?

TexomaPowerboater 01-26-2009 04:53 PM

HAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Thats good stuff.

TxHawk 01-26-2009 04:54 PM

Its clearly winter...

Stefin298 01-27-2009 09:18 AM

You guys catch the TV show Party Heat on Tru TV? They have two episodes that show them on the tickfaw river. Very interesting to watch the Cajun's and boating. Truly a different world down there. I guess when you have that many boats tied up in the shallows, you dont have to worry about gators?

TxHawk 01-27-2009 08:44 PM

So who is going to be the first one on the water this year?

There was a new Concept with 300 XS's out on Friday. Kicked a rod out of one. Bad start for him....

TxHawk 01-27-2009 09:01 PM

I actually looked around a little. My wife decided that a 33/34 Sea Ray would be more her style. There are some deals out there, and I can go get it using my trailer. I must say I like her style.

Their are some good deals on the market.

Matt, Turner is leaving Dallas today to head to Miami and get the Cigarette. Should be at Legend Marine Group Sunday. Then were going to do a photo shoot in one of the hangers he behind my office on the Addison Airport then its heading to Solder Creek.

TxHawk 01-28-2009 09:19 AM

I cant wait to see it. I hope the roads are cleaned up before he gets back. Dont want to sandblast that new trailer.

I like the old 35ft SR express cruisers. Some pack 502's and get up to 35mph.

bert4332 01-28-2009 08:56 PM

Andy is your boat in Texoma or Dallas? If it's in Dallas I'll help you out anytime. I need to learn this stuff somewhere, if you're doing a day trip up to Texoma, I'll consider that too.

TexomaPowerboater 01-29-2009 09:51 AM

It's kept at Texoma. We already finished derigging. Now it's time for paint and prep. I'll give you a shout when I get done painting the bilge and start rigging everything.

Whaaaaaaaat???? you don't like the arrows? The paint job is in really good shape. I'm leaving it, but if I did change it, it would look like this, only in red to match the dash with some white arrows.
