MDG, how far beyond your swim platform does the Konrad drive extend? I assume you're running an ACE correct? I'm just thinking about the future and setting our boat slip up to be ready when the time comes.

Thanks!!

Hey fastedy,I use a merc thermostat -bracket that mounts on back of port head, oil goes to filter assy then when oil gets up to 190 the oil goes thru the cooler, works real nice if engine had bearing issues use a new cooler, hard to clean out well when oil gets hot cooler expands and releases crap into fresh engine.Jayhawk the konrad hangs back past the swim platform, will take some pics, still have not taken my y2k out to try props and spacer, been crazy busy at work but getting caught up if we get our forklift fixed will run it this weekend.got a 31 and 32 lab bravo 1 to try.

Have not had boat out for any testing been too busy finishing customers boats, real crazy in spring in the boat business, not much fun but testing a 42 fountain mdg509/sc 3 speedmaster tommorrow made over 800hp,also finishing another 42 fountain 572sc intercooled 6 dry sumps motors ,hoping to dyno next week should make 950-1000.I am hoping to run the y2k this weekend and try the 31 and 32 lab props ,i ran a30 lab (too loose hit rev limiter 6000) boat ran around 92gps,i think i can find more speed with a little more prop also have 1 spacer to try ,will keep posting results

Hey h20,the left prop works real good on my boat runs very neutral, you can try either prop on your rig and see which one handles better, the 28 bravo lab should work nice on your boat need to run 525 close to rev limiter around 5450,i am going to run boat tommorrow and try some props 31 and 32 lab bravo1,also have hydro 29 lab 5 blade i might try,i want to prop boat 5600-5800 max that gives me killer throttle response

Looks like your using the Merc fuel pump that runs off the seap pump, will it feed the power bur building? Are you running an electric pump before that pump?

Eddie

I changed my oil system. out of block to a Canton sandwitch, #10 line to Oil/ps cooler then back to sandwitch with spin on filter, did away with thermostat.

Eddie i have a big mechanical pump that runs my blower motor with 2 850 carbs. I have a second system that I also use when racing. Ive done some testing and the second system is not realy needed. The mechanical pump is so big it requires using a regulator. with fuel you need 2 thing pressure and volume. I have a bowtie block so i dont use a belt to run the pump.
