What I'm gettting at is if I go back to the merc sea waterpump with the fuel boss on the pump, will the fuel pump be enough to feed my motor? I have the question on the Tech section, someone mention that any chevy pump can be used you just have to change the arm to the merc arm.

Fast edy on my 582 i use dart block that has fuel pump bose in block,i run a holley marine mechanical pump 140gph works perfect,if you are using gen 5-6 block you can use the merc set up,hardin marine sells a modified pump to fit,but i have found that set up will only feed around 600hp,you will probably need to put in electric pump also to keep psi up at wot, that is what i have done on some of my 509 blower engine using gen 5-6 blocks.I ran my y2k yesterday ran the 31lab prop ran real good, awesome throttle response the bay was rough 3-4 and the river was really crowded so did not find agood spot to really ring it out, boat felt real fast engine and drive starting to lossen up alittle,a lot of fun and very fast in the rough water. Will take take it out during the week and do a speed run in river when there is less boat traffic

Rick been real busy, ran boat this weekend the drive is loosing up a little and i am starting to play with props, ran a 31 bravo 1 lab 5900 91-92, tried today a hydo p5x 29 lab 5900 93-94 gps, insalling 1 spacer tommorrow. The best prop so far is the p5x lifts boat up real nice also the p5x was tested dead flat water had to use alot of trim so iam hoping the spacer will allow me to air the boat out with less trim angle, also i want to try a liittle more pitch p5x,but i love the acceleration of the boat, push the throttle down and rapid response.I think the spacer is going to help but i wanted to get a good baseline before installing it.I am sure if i had a chop i could have got 95 with the p5x,so maybe with the spacer 95-97 could be possible, will keep you posted
