I hope you end up getting a few more out of her. I don't understand the fact we have 250HP more than O2 Scene and just 10mph difference. There must be a theory to this. I still need to get mine in cool salt water for a speed run with a bigger prop. Good luck with yours!

H20,s boat has a bravo ! Thats worth a few MPH right their over the conrad with a trannie ! The big test is H20,s boat against Garys boat to see if the bottom pays off. Its going to hard to tell unless you put them side by side !

Remember, John (H2OScene has the new bottom, it's at least 5-6 miles an hour faster then the old hull.

Our boat has the new bottom, but like what was said before, we are losing a little bit of power through the tranny and bigger drive. Plus its a little extra weight.
If we had a bravo we could probably have a 100 MPH boat, but we like having the strong drive back there. We dont have to worry about breaking it. We would take the extra reliability over 5 MPH.
hopefully we can run the boat with the spacer this weekend and see what it does for us.

One thing to understand is that the merc 525 is rated at propshaft ,crankshaft hp on the merc 525 is usually dyno at around 560-580 on most dynos, the other thing is that when you add hp you gain not only top end speed but acceleration which makes the boat feel fast and a lot of more fun to drive.I ran the boat with 1 spacer, did not like it lost a few mph going to take it out,the boat seemed to handle the rough water a little better but seems to run the best with no spacer p5x 29 5900rpm around 93-94mph with killer acceleration and a outdrive that will handle a lot of abuse. It would be nice if i could raise drive up 1 inch and see results, the trim felt the same with spacer only dragging more unit in water. The new bottom must lift well without a lot of trim leverage which should allow a higher x-dimension than the old hull.Next on list is going to let brett at b-blades build me a prop

Well, the boat looks good! Time to go out and have some fun, enjoy the boat with family and friends. Good luck!
I have'nt seeked the last few mph out of my boat cause I know most boats I run with will lift before I have to in the
Y2K. I like it when it gets rough out there.
