H2oscene 05-31-2007 11:42 PM

Rick are you sick??? hey Thick question is how fast is that mako of yours??? Sure feels light and fast when on the throttle...My Thoughts are that you are the fastest 22mako on the scene... Hey thanxs for the drinxz...

H2oscene 05-31-2007 11:57 PM

You-All JC is doing better than his best to get my boat delivered only 2-weeks late... I could not of planned it better... I have never seen JC at his best, but I am sure that I am getting the V.O.P. treatment right now... There is no doubt that he is doing the best for me...Inside transom shot and outside transom shot...

H2oscene 06-01-2007 12:00 AM

Yes I have had a few outside would look different from inside shot????

SUPERSTITIOUS 06-02-2007 12:37 PM

82.5! Nice job Superboat!

H2oscene 06-02-2007 02:31 PM

For anyone that may be interested.... Freeport Natical Mile has its festival today... They close the entire mile and the bars have bands, boat docking and ect.. ect... All night long.... Guess I will drive there this year with the Truck...

FX10 06-02-2007 07:50 PM

It's still early, I think we're making a run there. Tomorrow's Patty Mc Gees !!! See ya !!

H2oscene 06-05-2007 05:36 AM

Rick did you get to Freeport??? Thousands of people there... By the way at 3:45 Superboat was looking mighty empty yesterday...

FX10 06-05-2007 05:00 PM

John. Never made it there. Wound up at Toomy's in Amityville. As for 3:45. Starting with summer hours. 7:00-3:30, or 3:00 if we don't take lunch.

Rick, what if you start at 6 am, no lunch and no break ???? :D :D :D

H2oscene 06-05-2007 07:50 PM

Got some progress pictures

FX10 06-06-2007 05:03 AM

John,
The polished Diamond plate and the Stainless Battery boxes look awesome.

z.zuperboat 06-06-2007 07:09 AM

I love the burgers at Toomies.

H2oscene 06-06-2007 06:46 PM

JC put in trim pump and some other stuff and engine is out of the box

H2oscene 06-06-2007 06:51 PM

A new seat frame is out of mold and ready for covering, JC needs to hurry-up and get the other frame together to get the apolstery completed

H2oscene 06-06-2007 07:00 PM

the new gps ant. does not fit in back next to engine cover so put it under wind screen, also have the other diamond plate for starboard ready to install and some stainless steel battery boxes that are not to cool but functional

Stainless is the way to go. It seems like painted and powder coated stuff lasts only 2-3 years before starting to peal.

Your boat is going to be one sweet machine!:drink:

freshwaterfiend 06-07-2007 08:46 AM

How do you sleep at night with the anticipation? This boat is going to be awesome. Are you going to add any colour to the hull later?

H2oscene 06-07-2007 03:50 PM

Yes Pat I agree everything stainless... JC just put a pvc stearn light base mount in and I am now searching for one in stainless... I told him everything top of the line stainless... JC cant get over the waste of money on some things that are just for looks... Freshwater - yes, waiting is a problem, I have always had a boat in the spring, this is my favorite time on Fire Island and the Bay before the crowds get there... JC tried to get a deposit out of me earlier but I was not financially prepared so I must wait... Color for now is just Pure White hull and deck with black wind screens and black air scoop (like in the pictures) I think I like the lines on the boat and will try it like this for now, I do have ideas about mabey adding some airbrushing... Just need to find a starving airbrush artist...

H2oscene 06-08-2007 05:25 AM

Ran into JC at the establishment last night and he still defends and he may have a point that the white pvc stearn light is better because it blends in with the back of the boat??? less seeing is better???

krakmeup 06-08-2007 06:02 AM

I replaced mine with an automatic retractible light - never have to worry about stabbing a pole light, and RA doesn't worry about sliding off the back at dusk!! Consider it - its pretty cool......

I have been looking for a retractable stern light but have not been able to locate one. Where did you buy it and how much?

krakmeup 06-08-2007 08:41 AM

Not sure if this is the one I purchased two years ago, but do a simple google to find others:

http://www.iboats.com/Innovative_Lig...-view_id.38588

A tight fit back there with the tab motor, but I love mine...

H2oscene 06-08-2007 03:38 PM

That is one nice retractable light - Looks as though you must have room directly below it when it is in the down position gotta check it out

CMC 06-08-2007 04:41 PM

Trick Marine has motorized stern lights advertised in the classified section. They require 22" of below deck clearance, and are about $150.00

H2oscene 06-09-2007 08:19 AM

JC is going to ***** when I show-up at the shop with a box containing a Power Stearn Light... I can hear him already... (Wha-da-ya need that f'in thing for).... But he is getting used to me, he told me the other night that everytime he starts something on the boat that he immediatly thinks- Whats H2oscene going to have to say about this... but sometimes he reverts back to old school practicality...and im not practical... oh well... thats what make it all interesting...

H2oscene 06-09-2007 08:23 AM

JC wrapped the cables

Superbabi 06-09-2007 08:41 AM

Keep showing up with new stuff to stump JC and you boat won't be ready until next summer, remember he's the guy who thinks a gas gauge is all you need !!!! lol lol !!! Serious when is the boat gonna be done ???

H2oscene 06-09-2007 10:48 AM

Well lets see, Need the following: Gas lines, vent flex tube, bildge pump, throttles, switches, battery boxes-cables ect..., diamond plate on other side, sea strainer with a JC custom bracket, transducer for depth, electric hatch piston, bow light, cockpit lights, electric fans in cabin, install engine, top off fluids and test, install outdrive, propeller, hydr. steering pistons, put on engine hatch, install cabin door/steps, trim-out cockpit, install cup holders, install steering wheel, install mid-ship bulkhead behind helm, gelcoat rest of interior cabin, install interior, clean boat and browncompound, white compound then polish deck and hull, get cover installed, test run the boat and whatever else I forgot... 2-weeks, maybe 3???????????????????????????? LOL

You had better go lend a hand...

Honestly, I have been watching these builds here on OSO ever since FX-10 started posting.
Your boat has gone together faster than any other, without question...
I don't know what you guys have been feeding JC lately but by the looks of things he working like he's 20 years younger...

He even sounded like he was in a good mood when I called him the other day about an issue on my boat. Normally, he's seems pretty grumpy when I get him on the horn...

H2oscene 06-09-2007 01:51 PM

Yes, JC seems to be on a mission, I think he is actually getting into this build... I stop in every day but I dont bust his chopps... He probably enjoys the audience participation... Plus after years of B.S. talking about someday getting him to build me a boat and selling my - as Rick calls it (THE "P" WORD) boat he is determined to show me what Superboat stands for...

Don't worry John, I know you and Coen have something in common. LOL

H2oscene 06-09-2007 07:30 PM

Yes, we both lust over Lois Lane

H2oscene 06-12-2007 02:23 PM

Rick, Looks like JC got the Detailed Boat Completion Schedule that I gave him yesterday... He has all kinda little projects in the works on the boat...

Pat McPherson 06-20-2007 02:45 PM

Anything New?
I had been getting used to seeing new stuff on this thread daily...

FX10 06-20-2007 07:52 PM

As of today, Coen was putting the motor in the boat to make up the engine mounts. They have to be made then sent out to be Powder Coated. It's getting there !!

H2oscene 06-21-2007 05:30 PM

Would anyone use a throttle installed with handle facing this direction???

H2oscene 06-21-2007 05:33 PM

Engine compartment last week
