Yeah, I think he gave his "computer" the boot.
- Oh KRAKMEUP, Iwas taking my maiden solo test ride that morning, but like I told Mrs.K, I had the Merc "SMARTCRAFT" alarms going off(it was just low oil in reservoir), so I wasn't able to give you a real ride anyway then. I did just hit 70.4 still with my 26, and handles great for a "mini 30"!

Thanks all!! The trip was well worth it - got to see boats in all stages of production. Superbash - no problem, hope you got your alarms worked out, maybe we can meet in the weeks to come, thanks for talking with the missus - she's getting SuperPsyched too and wants to try to spend some time in your local waters if we can arrange it. John even offered to get out there if we could. Sounds like the beginning of a SB event??????

I'll be down on Lake Conroe for my little sister's wedding in October.
My Dad's house is waterfront if you want to give her a run in Conroe.
ZZ's boat came off lake Conroe... Hold's some kind of V-bottom speed record.

Yes and it's not good. JC has said late August is the best guess now. Please somebody remind me this was a good idea? I will have lost an entire season of boating this year, and I am not a happy camper. I can only pray that this #$@#@# boat will be everything it is advertised to be - I was really dumb to sell my Donzi so early and am kicking my self very hard every single day.

There, I think I'm done, sorry! I'm not good at this waiting thing.......I am moving from weekly calls to monthly with John now, and canceling my contract with the dry stack folks, and fortunately did not pull the trigger on a trailer yet or I would be at odds there too. We are able to boat from Feb-Mar until Oct-Nov, so I will still get some shakedown time, but not at peak season. This was a good idea, back in Feb.........

You not gonna be disappointed. Believe me. I "missed" last boating season, being said kindly. SB is a solid boat. No frills. Hi-Perf. Don't try to "set" a date. It's not gonna happen. Trust me, it's not worth it. What is worth it is getting the boat period... & when you do, you will be very happy. (Been there, done that!!) Hi to Mrs. K!... By the way guys. You know its funny. People all ages see my 24 on L.I. and are like "NICE" and can't believe it was handmade or made 3/4 miles away. For me, SB is like the Harley Davidson of boats(Hmmm.....not a bad idea...) Wonder what Pam Anderson would do if she saw my SB? :D

Ordered my boat June 1, got it Oct 10, saved a bunch of money that summer, I thought sence I was racing with the Superboat banner I would get my boat sooner, didn't happen, I had to weight my turn, remember no one want's these boats out faster than John. Adam quitting or what ever has slowed things down, but Rick laid your boat up and he is the glass man, I wished he were there when I ordered mine.

Thanks all for the support - it is needed right now, so I really appreciate it. Guess I'll keep counting my saved boat payments and enjoy the action through your posts - I haven't given up, just frustrated; but hearing your experiences helps. I hope we can join at an event one day to actually meet you and share an adult beverage as we grin at the next soul tugging at his hair, waiting for that new Superboat. Thanks a bunch - will be lurking in the forum wings!

Have alittle good news. Pulled the deck out of the mold yesturday. Have the cockpit liner done, along with the engine hatch and cabin hatch. Will probably be finishing the hull up very soon. As Fast Eddy said, when Adam left, he really screwed up our schedule in the shop. I can only do soo much. I'll try my best to get you in the water ASAP.

Whahoo!! Thanks a MILLION Rick! Yes, I called JC yesterday and got similar update:
Deck is out of mold today; Hull is laid with stringers awaiting fuel tank install (Core-ing was back ordered), expect to pop out of mold early next week and assemble thereafter.

Graphics work to begin when JC talks to them.

Interior, cockpit cover in construction.

Accessories (GPS, Engine cover lift, cabin work, etc) all in progress.

JC expects late August, said early September would not be likely, or a worst case.Probably order trailer in next two weeks.

Hey Rick or Superbash - any chance of some current photos?? Rick - thanks for stepping up, I'll send you PM also.

I have a ride in a Velocity Thoroughbred this weekend (thanks JimG!!) for my first Poker run, can't wait for the next one in my SB!!!

There are a few people watching this process to see how well all goes Krakmeup.... Hope you make your August date. Small shops have these kinds of problems. A few people and one leaves... Guess that's why you try to hold on to the talent... How about it JC??

If August happens, it happens. I'm very anxious but realize how volatile the due date can be from all this. Sure would like to get some more detail pictures when someone can go by and see them. Once we know when we're headed up there I sure would like to get the time to meet some of you!

I"ll go by and shoot some pics next week( believe it or not, I'm cameraless for the moment :eek: ). Rick is a good SUPERBOAT builder. He has many SB's under his belt.
- Guys, sorry I missed Superfest. Superboat trailer was down, but I worked on it all weekend of the gathering. I almost did it by bike but someone put a damper on things. Believe me, I wanna meet everyone still. I love the pics, SUPERBOATS were looking poised and tuff.
- Pat, I just put on and tested the 18" setback. It's what the doctored ordered. It makes it fly easier. Hit 71.0 3/4 tank solo still with my 26p-5800+. 27 has been ordered.

Hope I can help you out with some pics. I'll bring my digital to the shop tomorrow. I can't figure out how to paste pics on this sight. The administraters should look into how scream and fly is set up. It's alot easier.

What John said about the back ordered Balsa was true. They originally said 7-10 days. That came and went. We called again, "it's on the way". Another week goes by, we call again. This went on for around a month !!! Jesus !!!!!
Your boat would've been out of the mold and assembled already.
Anyway, the Pork Roast is on the table, and I'm being paged. I'll send ya the pics tomorrow.

You have to be a paying member (gold or platinum) to post & view pics. JC ought to splurge for it since you are the only one representin' SB! I"ll stop in there one day. I need the 18" x 18" f.glass cover (under the cabin bunk cushions 24 SB)JC knew of and I never got. Hope you can make it up for me.

Bash - the Claudio's run of SBs sounds like quite the event - when I talked with JC he sounded down that he wasn't there (didn't seem to know about it before hand?????). Anyway, he was glad to hear of the gathering and that there was a good turnout. The pix are awesome - I keep pouring over them daily to try to get more ideas on my graphics and any goodies I may want to add.

I expect to be doing some longer runs - anyone ever added an intercom system? The current models integrate with stereo and VHF, making long rides more fun, any thoughts on that one?

Rick - hope the roast was good, call me this weekend (Sunday) and let me buy you a membership on this site, will ya?
