Thanks. She's going to need some love when she gets here (new interior and a good cleaning) but hopefully I won't have to mess with any mechanics for a while.

HAHA! I like the way you think. I'll try to get some pics tonight so that Capt cock can draw all over them. Shake down run went good yesterday with the exception of an electrical issue that the previous owner's mechanic "said" he fixed, Damn Florida mechanics. The surveyor seems to think it is just the timing control module. I guess we will see in a while. Other than that, it was a great ride, she flies real nice.
Glad to hear she at least got put into the water before you tore it apart. :coolcowboy: |

Jeffwoman,
Do you know if my year 502 MPI's have timing control modules? Someone told me that some of the mpi's didn't have them. |

My problems are just with age and hours and salt water, and the fact that I havn't spent any time on maintenance on them yet. This winter, the Lounge will get some work done on it. |

I was reading a thread about a guy with a 502 mpi that sounded like he was having the same problem as me. It ended up being a plug wire crossing a knock sensor wire or an ignition control wire. It was causing enough interference to make the rpms jump and engine to sputter. I could only be so lucky as to the problem being a crossed wire. Looks like I'll have to put my wiring glasses on and go cross eyed tonight. By the way, here's a pic to draw penises on.
