I think it would be funny if I end up winning and not only do they put a 15K motor in it, but have to buy it back or replace it with a new truck. I hope that they have someone who's job it is to analize these situations. They would have been way farther ahead to trade me out at radiator number three last September.
It would be funny except if the new one starts to do the same exact thing this one is. Good luck. At least you are getting somewhere.

They will put a new motor in it no matter what happens then they will auction it off to the dealers. Some one will be back in that truck. I think that if they take it back volintarily that it does not show up on car fax. When I got the car I now have it did not show up that it was a buy back. The dealer did tell me that it was however. I knew about the squeeking brake issue so I went in on that aspect with my eyes open. If you force the buy back then I beleive it will shop up on Car Fax.

Your exactly right, I would have taken a reasonable trade and not have made them have a branded title, now if I were to win they spent money on a motor(that wasn't bad last Sept.) and they have a truck that they will have to sell at the auction as a "lemon law buy back" with a branded title here in NY. Had they been more reasonable last Sept. they would not have spent $15K on a motor and a truck that had 20,000 less miles and a clean title.

Well on the good note I would assume that the motor being bad is going to help out with your buy back case!

After reading this thread a few weeks ago I started to check under my radiator..and noticed everytime I shut it off and checked a job when I came back a few drops or small puddle was there..I called my dealer which is extremely cool and they made an appointment to bring it in the next day..which was a friday..Friday came and I had to cancel so I rescheduled for Monday..Sunday the fan motor locked in on high mode and it sounded like the truck was always straining..They gave me a truck to use for half a day..replaced both radiators, fan motor..and a few other things..reset my computer for the tranny..truck runs awesome..what I found out was that there was a recall on a small part that feeds to the radiator..and in the early mileage stages needed to be changed..the fluid dripping was stage one, fan lockup could have been stage two..motor problems stage three. This thread worked in my favor..Im sorry Chuck that you are having so many problems. I hope it gets worked out in your favor. Jeff

I'm at the point where I'm done asking questions. I'm at the point that the more that's wrong with it and the longer it is in their possesion the better my lemon law case is. I did speak face to face with the tech the other day and he informed me that he reports directly to an engineer at Ford every day.

Chuck,
My Ford rep said that she still hasn't heard back from the rep on your case. No wonder you feel like you are getting crappy service. I wish there was something we could do here to help you. You deserve better!
