Great job man . When I did my notch I did not wood reenforce the notch. I laid addition bi and tri and Kevlar that way the drain hole and raw water pick ups should they leak not rot the transom
Hey Glass Dave great point do you think you will have big Al’s boat ready for rigging soon ? RG. |
Ok so working on the dash molds should have that part done soon. Juggling workin in the trailer to I have the new boat hauler here in the shop for the new pick up truck bed last week. Really want to convert this trailer to goose neck and add steps to the front to get to the bow. Just so much easier for launching to be able to get up there. And it will be nice to have a rig all set up dedicated boat hauler and I counsel pass up the deal on the kodiaks lol

1500 bucks for that truck ? whats the specs
|
They are old u haul trucks there 2008s 8.1 with 6 speed allusion trans super clean I bought 3 of them lol
|
They were very well Maintained and really clean I really like that platform really big brakes and they turn great.
|
Amazing how one project spins into 10 others - all directly related...
As you are into changing up everything for long term convenience, in addition to converting to goose-neck, you should consider adding a hyd. ram assembly for the front bow v bumpers (icededppl) to lock the bow in place with the addition of the stairway....on a bigger boat it really is the perfect solution to always having the boat where you want it. |
Yes for sure that is a great ideal

Was it actually your bow assembly that i was thinking of F-2 speedy? i remember seeing a post/pic a few weeks, possibly months ago...
|

The hydraulic bow stop that you are thinking of is in this thread.

Great work man . I tow my 38 Flat deck with a 4WD F350 . I found on some steeper ramps I wouldn’t have gotten out without the 4wheel on . I bought a 1989 Freight liner FL50 tow hauler as the tow vehicle . I am going to change out the std rear axel with a locking diff . You might want to consider the same idea . I would hate to get stuck on steep ramp doing the one wheel peel . Keep up the great work . RG.
