now here is the first gp nozzle the last to be removed this is what usually burns up
and by the looks of it is in great shape.
this will be removed as i must inspect the diffuser housing (behind this) for what version it is
This is the first step in the upgrade if it is not the right version it must be removed so it may be converted / machined to the
version we need to aid in the cooling of the bearing assembly

we are looking for burns and salt corrosion

one can only imagine the environment these vanes live in
the white deposits actually brushes right off.

remove the ring over the seal.
i will tell you it takes longer to remove the safety wire then to do half this other stuff

this now exposes the seal remove the tree 3/8 x 12 point and carbon seal will slide off.

then remove the 6 bolts and two nuts.

there is another slide tool that will thread in between the shafts removing another cone.
Jim at Principle Propulsion Systems AKA PPS is sending this.

now we can slide the combustion chamber deflector out which is a big A$$ doughnut looking thing
