mostly used to flush and clean. you would need huge tanks to support a continuous dosage. any one have a parts connection? a few still need to be located. thanks, - - - happy holidays ! ps: yes egt's are reduced during an injection cycle.

So in theory you could throttle the engine with a gate valve.
That's where I was going while looking at all those zillion parts on the table for the fuel controller. I was aware that the T53 was pressure throttled, so I'm at a complete loss as to why it has to have all of those parts... Especially in a non-flying configuration.

I currently run a 50/50 mix of methanol -20 windshield washer fluid and h2o that is injected
into the intake stream
on a 95 degree day a 10 second shot will clean the compressor and drop the egt almost 100 degrees.
one more thing to add just by injecting this adds abot 10% icncrease in hp.
look closely you can see the spray bar through the screen

Hey MC glad to see your still kicking! I have enjoyed reading your responses over the years.
as far as the fuel control it has various functions however it utilizes 1950,s technology
using bellows, servos and rotating fly weights completely mechanical.
here is the block diagram

What is the flow rate of that spray bar, obviously you don't really need the extra power, would it be worth having a continuous spray of just water over a certain throttle setting to keep EGT in check when you are running hard? I put a water/meth injection system on my boat (diesels) but unless I want to run it all the time I can't take advantage of the extra HP by using a higher pitch prop. I am planning to use just the water spray at any RPM that gets me over 1100 degrees EGT just so I can run it hard and not worry about burning a hole in something.

i run a 30 gallon poly tank. The spray rails incorporate 20 1/16 jets x 2 engines i would estimate it would deplete the tank in approx 15 minutes.
The engines will run within there egt limits. Unless the ambient temp is over 100f.
Im guessing that enlarging the intake ducts and the combustion swirl slots being enlarged will help the egts.
interesting points Curious as to your cruise range?
