Lets just say sunday was like testing, don't count for chit. You get some hours on those race motors, as my stockers are all broken in. Install whatever else you ordered on line yesterday morning, get it all dialed in and proped out, BBlades has all my data so you can just have him shoot for that number.

Thanks for the compliments, it's important to have your shine on :D. You might try the three coats of Collinite, seems to be quite aero-slick stuff. You are welcome for the compliments, and they are well deserved. The games HAVE begun! Now that I know what I need to get to...... Dave |
[QUOTE=axapowell;2570891No doubt you ran the number, but you've had time to mess with it. Give me time, I think I can get close.Dave[/QUOTE]
Did you catch that subtle bit of conciliatory language Ragged?? "I think I can get close" Sounds like you're admitting defeat Axa. ;) |

Full as well, except for the burn from the Bay to Brockville at 40 mph. I was around 86mph. Give me time, I think I can get close. How many sets of props have you tried? banging the limiter at 6k with 1/4 throttle left....hmmmmm..... :cool-smiley-027: The games HAVE begun! Now that I know what I need to get to...... Dave I know you were full as well, like I said, sunday was testing, don't count for chit. Already agreed to as much time as you need, I ain't done here either. :D Three sets, The stock Bravos it came with, not bad, but. The Maxes, suck big time, but who knows. The PP 5 blades, have some real possibilities here. 86 mph X 1.25% = 107.50 mph! Boy am I in trouble here. Remember this is all on the table here per your statement, no more parts added. Run it as it sat on sunday? Proping to dial it in to run it's best excepted. No more secrets? Right? You will remember you said it here, right? I'll promise here and now that other than prop dial in I will not change a thing, no computer re-maps or anything, and you have already stated the same above. We on the same page here? Remember also that this is all in good clean fun here, lets not get carried away. :D |

;);) to you too, I'll bet there's something to that deal! You can read into that anyway you wish. I think I have some "other props" laying around somewhere yet. I'll have to get back to ya! :evilb: Dave |
can't wait to see how those "other props" work out.
I don't see Axa ordering anything additional either...I believe he already posesses what it's gonna take. :D |

You can read into that anyway you wish. I think I have some "other props" laying around somewhere yet. I'll have to get back to ya! :evilb: Dave Already stated proping to dial in is expected to be done on both boats, don't care if you have them, relab them, or buy new to get it where you want it. I'd even consider Herings to be within the scope of proping. The question was whether or not you plan to bolt something on that was not there sunday. Was I supposed to look in the back of the truck? HBWs shop? Under a rock someplace? Are additional bolt ons fair game for you? If so what about me? Like short Sportmasters and a new computer, or maybe some Whipples? You seem to be back pedaling here and avoiding answering the questions asked. They were simple straight foreward questions, easily answered, so what's the problem here old buddy? If you plan to, or want to change the agenda here just come right out and say so. It's fine with me. Just be honest and tell me the rules you decide to play by. |

Cause 88 to 94, make that 95 to go by, just is never comming out of a little prop change when he's already running his A game props now. What it was "posessing" on sunday is going to need more than a little prop work or change. You've been around long enough to know that, at least I assume that would be the case. You all think I miss the little comments here? I am for sure smarter than that, believe me. ;);) Y'all. |
This is high drama!!!:D

Not really, but give me your honest take on this deal. And I'll not ask you to slip any secrets here, just tell me what you think. Meet up with your bud on the water, he's rigged up with his newest go fast chit, his best ever number props, and his new high tech butt cam all zeroed in. He's packin' his whole A game program, at least to date. You start cruising up the river, checking some numbers for your prop guy. The other half says " He's comming". So you step it up a little, thinking to yourself "if this is what he wants WTF". Mid eighties he's spent so you run it out, pull a little distance on him, just to make the point, and call it done. Back on the dock you graciously pass it off as just F'n around, though you do by all rights have one in your pocket, understand he may have some dialing in left to do, and agree to try it another day. Agree to wait and see who can make the most of what they have. So just who was lookin' for who here? Who was the stand up guy? Is it odd that the Butt Cam must have broke, as well as the bow cam? You're a pretty fair minded guy, so what do you think here? |
No drama here! Just good ole' ball busting!
As I stated before, all the parts were there on Sunday, just got to dial it in. Testing for me as well, but I may not have showed the hole cards yet. Relax Pete, you do have one in your pocket. Wait till we do it again, if the results are similar, so be it. The cameras were for me, not for you or to show anyone in front or behind. They will make for some cool videos at some point! Dave |

Now you're fair with a wrench, willing to tear into that secret ext box install and all. The next little project would be a little over your head, need a little help from Cooter or Larry did you? Maybe I need to keep an eye on the old HBW Dock Cam, you think? |

Relax Pete, you do have one in your pocket. Wait till we do it again, if the results are similar, so be it. Dave Ah! The joy of Victory :evilb:, and the agony of admitting defeat :traurig001:. You bring your A+ game and maybe I'll give you a shot at it. Wouldn't want the flock to think I was being unfair after you got caught with you pants down. That wouldn't be the stand up thing to do here. Oh, I'm real sorry I didn't show you the recall number earlier. I sure would have if you had just asked. I guesing your mind was elsewhere, and forgot to ask or just thought you already knew. :p Now is when you come back with the "I was just sizing up the opposition". |
I count 4 forums that one-time speedo pic is posted in now.
I like the one in the prop forum... "I put this number up every time, all afternoon" don't mislead the viewing public now... wasn't that more accurately once, on one afternoon? |

Maybe I need to keep an eye on the old HBW Dock Cam, you think? I'm not going to change my original plan. Whatever that plan may be. Secrets and stratigies are two different things. Just working with what I got. Remember, you started at 86mph when you tested your boat...now you are at 94. Was that a good guess or did you have to work at it? Get my point? :angry-smiley-038: You seem very concerned with my program and I'm not sure why. Dave |

I like the one in the prop forum... "I put this number up every time, all afternoon" don't mislead the viewing public now... wasn't that more accurately once, on one afternoon? Not the case at all, these props have been run on two (2) afternoons, saturday with a lite fuel load and then sunday full of fuel to get a real picture of what they might be capable of. The 94 was repeated numerous times on saturday afternoon lite on fuel, a number of them captured on video. Samantha stood behind the bolster and filmed it. :p Want to see? Send a stamped self adressed envelope and I'll have Samantha burn you a disc. I'd post them, but don't have a clue how to do that. Now call me stipid. That was not the number on sunday, nor did I say anywhere that it was. The number up was 89-90 up river and into the wind with Axa, though it did run 92 on the trip back down river later on. Which is why the next step here is to see if these props can be worked to better cary the extra weight and still get up to the better speed. I'm not the prop wizzard here, just the guinea pig. I was given an opportunity here and I plan to take full advantage of what Brett is willing to do for me. If it seems like I'm playing these props up it's cause I am, Brett/BBlades deserves the plug here, he did me right and I'm just trying to return something to him. Who knows they might even perk up that sled of yours. The crusing speeds with these are real nice as well, my cruise is approaching your WOT. As far as posting the picture,,, I am quite pleased with the deal. Call it what you want, it's still a stock powered 35' Vee bottom running 94 mph, and I'm real proud of that. It's a couple more than I ever expected to get to. |

I think I got all of you ..... LOL .... LOL ..... :p Jeff Barney Fife looking to take on the " New Sheriff " ? You need to be careful what you ask for on here, someone may take you up on that. I know a guy with some high speed trailering experience, maybe this time I can drive and we'll use his boat to take you on. Make sure you get it on video so you can show us who you put away.;);) I see on another thread you are working with BBlades on some props, how's that going? I spent an hour on the phone with him this afternoon. He is one real sharp guy, he is starting a second set of props for the Black Biotch. Says the number can definetly go up with what he has in mind. |

You're on! So long as I can make some adjustments to the 1/2 ton gasser. I'm thinking taking my steering wheel out, then slip a 1 ton DRW 4X4 chassis under it. Think of it as dialing in the gasser. :evilb: Why would I be happy to hear??? I've got all you guys by a month already. :p |

Hurry... before I mount the 7 new ones! oh, and I'll even give you details about my secret high-tech bearing maintenence program... pretty obvious you weren't paying attention the last time. :D works pretty good. Eleven trailers of all desciptions and I haven't been beside the road with a bearing failure yet! How nice is that? |

Be careful, I think Twins has one of those tough guy Jap trucks. I'll be running the Red Ripper and draging a Fastech Racin' 353. :D We're all friends here, who the F would cheat or do anything underhanded. What ever happened to honest good old boys? I'm sure Dave has a "butt" cam guy that can hook up with you, I wouldn't bend over during the install though. MUD  I"M OUT!!! |

Hook her up, I'll call Twins, 5 Inch, and Bob, weather is going to chit this weekend for boating, might as well have some fun on the road. This trailer is (quote) brand new, I honestly figured it would make it thru the first 500 miles without major maintence issues. Guess I was all wrong on that. ( Call me stupid. ) Someone forgot to mention the salt water dunking several times. Wouldn't have made a rats arse of a difference here, the salt had already pitted all the bearings, a case of JT-6 could not have prevented the failure of the high quality Chinese bearings. All new now, packed with JT-6 from Tractor Supply, and working fine. |

you've got easy-lube spindles right? just grease, grease, greese 'emm, all the time... hit 'em with the gun every time you think about it, even if the trailer hasn't been anywhere. :D I do. |
