Ditto on that Bird. You can see the Glastron styling in the hull. Twins is too young to remember the Glastrons of yesterday. Had two of them myself, last was a GT 150, way cool when I was but a young pup. :D

Now I get it. Is it that when you get back to the pits early, for whatever reason, you get first dibbs on the eye candy. Planned parts attrition gets you there first every time? Smart guys!!! :D

Well he stole my big number, so I figured turn around fair play. Diff here is I don't really want to keep his, I'd bet he'd love to keep mine. Like all Formulas I can make this one go away, in a poof!!!:D Just going to be another Formula poofed by a Fountain guy. I will need to get rid of it soon, it will ruin my credibility with my fellow beakers.

BTW, hows tricks? Your cat fell out of its bag some time ago. News of deceptive trickery spreads like chit from a honey wagon. To be upfront here, I have purchased the test props and Brett is doing up a second set, he claims the number you saw is going up. I love a man with a positive attitude, glad you put me on to him. You keep digging into that bag of tricks.

I have not been deceptive at all. I purchased ALL of my parts back in January! I'll let you know when the boat is done. Time has been the only issue for me. Work, travel and rigging my boat have consumed me for the most part. I'm looking forward to some relaxing weekends soon.

Are you putting the boat in the slip this weekend?

Dave

Brett and I are talking as well...He is a great guy with the knowledge to back it up. He is waiting for some data from me. I hope to collect some this weekend and get back to him. Prop tweaking is last on my list of "tricks", I have to get everything else settled first.

And you are welcome! No fair keeping such a great resource a secret.

The rusty orange metalflake GT 150 with a 115 Johnson in a cardboard box. Rebuilt the 115 and added the 135 heads and carbs. Few years later I began my Hydrostream era, now they were a blast. :D

There we go, much better now. 5P I will be sending you a bill for using my pic. I figure you might as well pay me and use it, you can't spend enough to get your own speedo to read that high. Just have your guy get in touch with my guy, they can work out the details.

When I first saw those insane Hydros flying up and down the river, I really wanted one. Never got there. But, you're right Ragged, they were wild azz rides.

Three wild azz ones here. Started with a 15' with my 115/135 Johnson, too slooooooooow. Bought a 175 V6 Johnny and bolted that beast on the 15' Hydro, too short, decided I wanted to extend my life expectancy. Keep the 175 and bolted a 17' Hydro it. Worked good till I did a triple looper with it and blew the azz end off it. Sold that salvage package off to a friend and bought another 17' with a 200 Merc "Black Max". If I remember the boat was 2800, the motor was about the same, 8-900 in a trailer and another 200 in a Merc Chopper prop. All that fun for so little money. The new lab 5 blades for this one will cost more than the last HydroStream did.

And I assume the wing plates are as well.

FYI, I'm not fishing here, already know. As I said before, the cat was out of the bag a while ago.
I have an "info guy".

Brett thinks 97+ should be your new target number, lite on fuel, of course. Hope that trick bag is a deep one. :D

Today is not looking good for hauling, may be up tomorow. Just have to wait and see, if chitty may come up and rig up the slip then bring it up on sunday. You going up tonight?

axapowell 06-06-2008 11:42 AM

Getting on the road here very soon.

So what have you heard?

Dave

I heard that my 32s should be in to BBlades next week. Then it's test for a baseline, and lab the chit out of them.

I heard from Susan, at BBlades, that Brett is psyched about this Precission deal on the Fountain. The eyes of the perf world are upon us, and I quote.

I heard Brett is getting some calls about these props, because of the old speedo number. Great to hear, he's a good guy.

I heard that oil hit a new high today, 138 and change, F'N speculators.

I heard that diesel is at $4.999 today, gas at $4.159. Would appear that Rip was wrong, he said we gassers would be paying $5.00 and his diesel would be back to $3.00 or something like that. Poor Rip, well he never drives it anyway. Good thing his boat is a gasser, though it makes little difference when you're driftin'.

I heard the weather tomorow is hot and iffy, but going to try to get the boat up there and in the slip.

I heard that if I haul it in the rain it could get wet.

I heard that could cause water spots.

I heard Samantha say it's time to get it up there, it's time to start summer!!!

I heard that summer dosen't really start up here until the 4th of July, so I'm still ahead of the curve.

I heard Mrs. President ain't likely to be heard in this decade.

I heard that Bill's dissappointed, he was looking foreward to being the First Boy Toy.

I heard, scarry as it may be, that "Yo, Prez" is a possibility .

I heard that it's not spelled O'Bama, so likley he's not Irish.

I heard that you are attempting to reduce your draft. ;)

I heard one should never depend on one little bag-o-tricks.

I heard that this is particuliarly true when the other guys bag-o-tricks has yet to be opened.

I heard 94 is a streatch, and 97+ ain't never ever gonna happen. Unless, of course, Rippem hauls it down Rt.81.

I heard that Rip said for $10.00 in diesel, and the token grease my palm fee, you too could have a big number on your recall to show everyone.

I heard my "T-shirt guy" is busy, busy, busy.

I heard Samantha say she hasn't seen a chit eatin' grin like this on my face in a long long time. :D

I heard you think you can wipe that grin off my face.............................................. ................NOT.

Soooooooooooooooooooo, What have you heard???

upstate31sonic 06-07-2008 07:53 AM

I heard you were drinking last night and you forgot to invite me:drink:

As far as fuel... this is what the price of fuel was here in the yard on Thursday.. But did you see the price drop at all at the pump this week from 5.00 a gal???...:angry-smiley-038:Some thing is very wrong with that..

I have a nice little benefit at work...Pull the truck up and fill her up..Makes it nice for the haul up to the bay

Think we could get the twins to burn diesel fuel??

I heard that an abundance of that JT-6 grease would have prevented that chit, you can never have too much of a good thing.

I heard that you should Grease Grease Grease Grease Grease Grease Grease, then Grease again.

I heard you should never leave home without your grease gun.

Rippem 06-07-2008 04:04 PM

found a little imformational tutorial for those who need enlightenment.

http://dexteraxle.com/e_z_lube_system

As I stated previously, I put alot of grease through mine because of the heat generated by the frequent hanging up of my surge drums.
Cheap insurance, the same insurance policy that got your last set of trailer bearings with an unknown use/service history 1000 miles without failure.
I guess the bottom line is that some of us wouldn't go down the road with a used trailer that has been submerged in salt without a complete hub/bearing inspection/service.
Others oblivious to the obvious choose to believe that trailer brearings and tires are maintenence-free and last forever.

You might want to rethink the know it all attitude you had when you made this post. This high perf boat stuff is much more complex than pumping grease in a wheel bearing.

Maybe if they were set up by someone who knew what they were doing that problem could be corrected.
