Yowzer  Wrapped that sucker right around and back to the peg. You must have a big bad mofo Bag-O-Tricks. Wazzup in Flockerville this morning? Any chit chat that I'm missing? |
This thread has died....
All of the "Cats" are out of the bag now...Of course it's time to fess up and admit that it took a set of props from Ragged's Fountain to get my old sled to 90MPH (a few tenths off, but close enough). The extension boxes and -2" Sportmaster lowers are cool looking, but not getting me where I thought they would. I'll continue to mess with it a little, but the summers short...I wanna boat, not wrench. A few more things to try: Change the rotation back to turning out. A 30 to 32 pitch 5 blade. A labbed 32 four blade. Get the cruise back up and shoot for a new top end number. I went for a ride in Ragged's Fountain this weekend and I have to say it is a nice ride. Strong, although the speed wasn't quite there. Weather, conditions, and the amount of fuel in the boat seem to affect the top end. But overall, I was impressed. Nice smooth ride and not too much noise with that windshield either. All in all, a nice weekend of boating and cocktailing. Getting the “River Liver” back in order. Off to Sunny Isles Beach Florida on Thursday for the OSS race on Sunday. I’ll report back soon! Dave |

Dave Nothing like a little Fountain MoJo to perk up a Formula.:D I 've been trying to tell you guys that for years now. 90 isn't 90 till it's 90!!! Close only counts in horse shoes and hand grenades, this ain't either. You were close, so what other Fountain parts would you like to borrow? I've got some spare lighting bolts, should be worth a mph each, want a pair? |

All right, WTF, the pits look like a garage sale in a trailer park, anyone know if the boys actually raced?
|
So did you actually get the steering wheel on the boat?

Don't know if they raced, but they are listed at the bottom of the pack. Gotta be discouraging at this point, lots of time, effort, and dollars into the deal. Axa would be better in the TIPBS (Thousand Island Pleasure Boat Series), he's running a very consistent second there. :party-smiley-004: |

Sorry for the delayed response on the 4th, we have comittments on Saturday so we'll be boating locally over the weekend.

Just talked to Dave. Unfortunately, the mechanical gremlins got them again. Not good. Like to see them have a race without something breaking. Dave's frustrated and I can empathize with that.
I'll let Dave explain the broken issue if he wants to. |

I'll let Dave explain the broken issue if he wants to. Been there, been broke, ain't fun, whether it's racing or pleasure boating. Makes a man step back and ponder priorities. IMO, I would start to concentrate on my own toy and start to have some fun. Summer up here is short at best, we need to make the most of it. Did run around this weekend watching the pathetic A Bay Poker Run, 25 some boats with one Fountain EC in the new cruiser class, but actually had more fun running with Anthony in his 106 mph 35 Fountain, side by side at 90+, what a blast. Almost had me thinking I should have kept the last boat and put the money into the power, till he lost a fuel pump and died. Gotta love a boat that can run 90+, make it back, and do it again the next day. :D |

Pete,
I just left you a PM ..... Call Me .... Jeff Got the PM, got the call on the machine. Had a carpet cleaner in today doing some of the apartments and had to babysit that deal. I will call you back. Dave mentioned the 4th deal, thanks for the invite. Not sure what's up for us just yet. Samantha is on vacation and going to her moms for a while, we're contemplating what we are doing. She dosen't get a lot of time with her mom since moving up here, they are real close so I just step back and let her decide what she wants to do. |
Sad deal here, had to pull this up off page 2.
So what are the ballbusters up to for the upcoming holliday weekend? Axa? Bird? 5PM Wherever? Twins? Sonic Bob? And will RIP make the grand entrance into the Boathouse to partake of the holliday festivities? Maybe we could start a pool on when he will show up? Must be racking up a ton of that OT, only thing I can figure. :eureka: Wasn't there some launch pool deal last year? :p The year before? :p And the year before that? :p |
Leave it to our little buddy Ragged to get this going again. Been stalled here for quite some time.
As for the weekend, my mother organized a family reunion for Saturday, the 5th. How frickin' lame is that?? I suppose it's my obligation to attend, not real happy about the timing. So, we'll be sticking close to the Pond Friday, head to Sackets for the fireworks by boat Friday night (if they have it that night). Go to the reunion and see a bunch of relatives I haven't seen in fifteen years Saturday, then back out on Sunday. Mrs. Bird and I have next week off. Any of you Islanders have time off next week? A Pondevous would be pretty cool. Axa, Ragged, Rip, Mike, Jeff, Bob?? The sun and sand are on me!! |
I am heading to Belleville via truck'n'trailer .... tomorrow morning. The weather isn't looking to be in my favour for crossing the lake ..... especially with my kids.
If something changes with regards to Belleville .... I will be back to the islands looking you guys up. If I don't get a chance to talk to any of you before hand. HAPPY 4th of JULY !!!!! Jeff |

My Dad would always call with the "Your Mother and I were thinking......., and she really wants you to come". Always not so advantageous timing but, I do miss them both, and having them around. Had you been on your toes you could have helped to plan the event for friday, "After all Mom, that's the real holliday", and not split the weekend. Gods twisted payback, that tree could have missed the Vibe and landed on the Birdboat! Samantha is off all next week, I'm in the middle of the SLU mega job, but have things under control, as always, and could steal a day or two towards the end of the week for a Pondevous. Need to burn my share of gas, would hate for some sand n***r to miss out on his Dom and caviar cause I didn't do my fair share. A dock and a chitter would be nice!:D |

Would even extend a seat in the Fountain to Bird and his charming Mrs. if he's into it. Could even pile the Axas in as well. I do believe she'd still run mid 80s with the load. ;);) We need to talk about this. What do you think Bird??? |

I wish I had no agenda to worry about - "Dude, Picton for lunch??" Wish I could just say - "I'm there".
Maybe someday.:( Years ago I made a late fall run around the end of Wolf Island, out into the lake, then into Kingston with Christopher just for a coffee and hot chocolate. Started at our hunting camp on a late October morning with breakfast, bright sunny day, his thought at 6 am was too good a day for F'n hunting. So we packed up and made the two hour trip to the marina, fueled up, and went out to burn some gas. Never will forget him saying "Bad day for hunting, but it's looking like a good day for boating." Sometimes in life you just don't need to have chit make sense, our best times were had doing plain stupid chit that made no sense to anyone other than us. Then there was the Magarita Cruise to the Lone Star in Kingston in Axas boat, and yes I fell asleep in the back seat, we figure they were about a hundred bucks each in real money, but the taco chips and salsa were free!!! Drive you arse to the Bay, we'll take the Fountain, be there in an hour or so, have lunch, and back to the Bay. Have a few cocktails and dinner on the dock. Then pack your arse off for home so you get a good nights rest so you can be a real charmer at Moms To Do on saturday. How can you turn that dumb arse adventure down? I'll even buy!!! :D He!!Axa says he'll take his boat too, so you can be a part of his second arse whoopin'. The Black Biotch is calling you. |

Ya know Ragged, you really need to get over this compulsive need for a dock and a ****ter. How many oppotunities have you passed up over the years simply because you need a padded comode with a newspaper to plant your skinny arse. Just crap over the side or in the portadumper like everyone else does. For "Pete's" sake, Pete!!!!!:p
Had Reggie ment for me to take a chit on my boat he'd molded the thing on the deck where you'd have some elbow room and a view. Then I likely would have removed it cause I couldn't see over it, and it would be PIA to wax around. Besides, I enjoy my AM quiet time, it's all about me. :D I prefer a nice natural wood seat, it's a warm feeling you just can't get from plastic early in the morning. |

Took off one day with Relient (Mike) in his 27' Wellcraft Coastal with twin 200 Evercrude eggbeaters from the Pond to Picton. Climbed to see Lake on the Mountain, then hauled azz back to the Pond. He had that big, wide Coastal just hauling all the way back. Thing went like 50. I just sat in the back the whole way watching those outboards churning, roosting, and burning copious amounts of fine grade crude and two cycle oil. It was a blast! Just a whim, "let's go to Picton!!" So, we did. Spur of the moment stuff is always the best. Mike, that was a good day!!:cool-smiley-011: |

When you are going to do this chit why don't you call??? We could have meet up for lunch or something. Must have been a perfect day to be out on the lake. Yesterdays big adventure was Potters, only thing that made my day was the 36 Apache that thought he was the t!ts and going to smoke my arse by getting an outside run around us comming out of some of the islands. Likely the last time he'll want to play with the Black Biotch.:D |
